"A long time ago, when our King came to ruling, he won the race by using his gift. He decided to teach and show what he did. You all think that your gift only lets you do one thing, control water, speak to animals, hunting, flame and compulsion. All of you are named after the gift you all received." Bulbla, my teacher, told us in class on our first day of the last year we have. "This year, I am here to help teach you all how to access your gifts from different aspects. Show you how to access the different ways. I am here to show you how to use it to your advantage. We will be having guests come in to help every once in a while. Any questions?"

"Why do we have to learn more about our gifts? We know how to use it more than you would. We have 16 years with it, you have had 16 minutes." Frost piped up.

"Frost, what all do you know you can do?" Bulba asked.

"Freeze things. What kind of question is that?" Frost laughed.

"How fast can you run?" Frost stopped laughing, running wasn't her best. "What if I told you that you can get to places faster than most people? Just throw ice in front of you and you can slide around anywhere. Have you ever thought about becoming an inspector? You can bring finger prints to the surface." Bulba smiled. "Did you know that, Frost?"

Frost stayed silent. I nudged her, winking when she looked over, clearly embarrassed. She shrugged, acting it off.

'"Vanish! Little Vanish, you are gifted. Do you know what all you can do?"

"Yes, ma'am, I have an idea of what I can do." I answered.

"Which is?"

"I can appear or disappear to where ever I am needed. I can become invisible. I can reach through things." I said.

"Good, you know some of them. Vanish and Frost, I want you to stay after class today." Bulba asked of us. At that time, I wasn't sure why I was staying. I wasn't the one who tried talking bad like Frost so it was understandable for her. Class got out and we had to stay, after hearing about the history of how the King won which I now know is a lie.

"Girls, there is a secret warrior club, you could say. We don't have a name for it, really. I want you girls to join. You will be going on missions to protect the Village. You will be taking missions mostly from the King. There are--" Bulba was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in!"

The door opened and an Elve I have never seen before walked through the door. "Are these the new recruits?"

"Phoenix, this is Frost and Vanish."

"They keep getting smaller and smaller." He said.

"There is nothing wrong with being small. It comes with it's perks." Frost shrugged, flipping her hair over her shoulder. Phoenix turned away from staring at me, to look at Frost.

"Not that I was making a joke at your size, but the amount of recruits. This is a third of what we had last year." Phoenix turned to Bulba.

"Which you were a part of. But this year, there weren't many. Hunter I considered, but hos head is only in the game to kill what he hunts. I am sure he is great at tracking but not all of the missions involve killing."

"You are right and I know you know what you are doing. However, I want to see those files. The King and I will look through them, see if there are any gifts we can use for the future missions."

"You work with the King?" Frost slid closer to her. His eyebrow rose, before he chuckled.

"Let me see their files." He grabbed them out of her hand. His golden tanned hands gripped them. His green hair fell in front of his face, making his chocolate eyes look more green than brown. His eyes met mine for a second before looking through Frosts file. "You forgot two." He sat it down, then opened mine. It had more papers for him to read than Frost's did, so it made him take twice as long. "Impressive," he finished, "I see a lot happening for you."
