it was around eight in the night, jack and cindy had just walked out their room and were in the elevator. they were meeting up her family at the restaurant below.

"it was under the bed the whole time" jack said, making cindy laugh.

she snorted and covered her face in embarrassment. jack couldn't help but burst out of laughter. the elevator doors opened and an old couple came to meet an embarrassed cindy, who's complexion was red and a jack dying of laughter.

the elevator doors soon opened and the two couples walked out, taking their own path. jack and cindy held hands, walking to the restaurant.

"reservación para esmeralda marino" cindy said to the host. (reservation for esmeralda marino)

the man nodded and took them both to the table were the women were already waiting.

"hi" cindy said, greeting them all with a huge smile.

"hola" jack smiled at them.

they ordered their food and drinks, as they talked while they waited. jack tried his best to make esme laugh but she kept a straight face the entire time. their was a few times she wanted to laugh, but it took everything out of her not to.

as soon as the food got to their table, they all began to eat and continued to talk. jack apparently had a lot to say but cindy was too lazy to translate everything, so jack made it a mission for them to understand him.

he made everyone laugh, including esme. but she only laughed at the fact of how dumb he sounded and how he translated the words.

jack wasn't even translating the words, he just added a spanish sound at the end.

"babe shut up, their just making fun of you at this point" cindy whispered with a small smile.

"at least i'm trying" jack shrug his shoulder with a smile.

he knew they were making fun of him but he didn't care. he was just happy to make them laugh, even if they were laughing at him.

"well, were going to head up" isabel said, putting her arm on her mother's back.

the two grown women said goodbye them and left. esme, cindy and jack were left at the table.

cindy looked at jack who was already looking at her. esme sat there on her phone.

"um, we should go out" cindy suggested.

esme looked up at her sister and crossed her arms, "you should've told me you were bringing him, i could've brought alejandro"

cindy gave her a confused look, "is not too late to invite him" jack said, looking at cindy. "you should call him"

"sure" cindy nodded looking down at her half eaten desert. "were going to go to downtown cancun- maybe to coco bongo" she smiled at esme.

"you should join us" jack offered.

esme knew what they were doing, but she couldn't do anything because her sister was happy and she was no one to forbid her from seeing jack.

"fine" she rolled her eyes. "but i'm going to change shoes, i'll be back" she stood up and left.

cindy and jack sat there smiling at each other. "she's going to accept you back in any moment, just watch" she grabbed his hand and connected their fingers together.

they asked for the check and jack took his credit card out before cindy had the chance to take it out her purse.

"i was going to pay- i brought you here"
