"is this fine? raine asked.
"yeah" he said, not paying attention to her.
"jack?" she said, knowing he didn't listen to her.
"what?" he turned to her.
"nothing" she sighed and sat on the bed.
"um" he cleared his throat, "we need to talk"
everytime she heard that little sentence, she felt fear. that always came with something bad.
"about" she asked, putting on her ear rings.
"about us" he took a brief pause before he began talking again, "look, i appreciate you so much-"
"i know" she nodded.
"no, i don't think you realize how much love i have for you. i ain't forget how you helped me with so much.. but look, people change-"
"just spit it out"
"i don't love you like i use to- at least not in that way"
"i know you don't" she admitted, "and i understand"
"t-then why don't you push me away?"
"because i love you" she sighed, "but if you want to end this, then i'll also understand. i'm not going to force you into a relationship with me" she scoffed, making him smile.
