when am i gonna see him again?, was all cindy could think in her head. where do we even stand? are we back together?, she continued thinking, as the car continued moving.

"whats wrong?" jack noticed.

cindy looked at him and smiled, "nothing"

"i love you right?" he whispered.

s"i love you" she whispered back.

jack leaned down and connected their lips. it had been the most passionate and slow kiss they've given each other since they reunited.

they both slowly pulled away with a small smile, plastered on their faces. cindy sighed and laid her head on his arm as jack intertwined their fingers together.

it was moments like that, that made cindy want to risk it all and just live depending on him, but that was impossible.

as soon as they got to the airport, cindy helped jack get his luggage.

"me espera porfa?" she asked the taxi driver as he nodded. (wait please?)

"i can walk in by myself, its alright" jack said, as she turned to him.

"you sure?"

"yeah" he nodded and wrapped his arms around her.

at this point, they didn't even care who saw them. they've been everywhere for the past days, they were pretty sure there was pictures of them all over the internet, but they both didn't care.

"if you make up your mind and you want to come with me, i'll be in louisville" he whispered in her ear. "you know where i'll be at" he pulled away.

"your having your release party there?"

"yeah" he nodded, "then the derby.. i'd be really happy if you make it"

cindy nodded, "okay" she smiled.

they said goodbye to each other one last time before jack walked inside and cindy got in the car. the driver drove back and dropped off cindy to the hotel.

as soon as she got there, she had breakfast with her family. cindy played with her food, making her mom get annoyed with the constant fork dropping.

isabel sighed, "stop"

cindy looked up at her, giving her a sorry smile. she set her fork down and drank her coffee.

"si lo quieres seguir, síguelo muñequita. nosotras no te lo vamos a impedir" her grandmother said, making esme give the old lady a 'you serious' look. (if you want to follow him, follow him. we are not going to stop you)

isabel nodded, "she's right, we've been selfish. we understand if you want to spend time with him after not seeing him for so long"

"no, mejor me quedo aquí con ustedes" cindy said with a shrug and a soft smile. (no, i better stay here with you guys)

"cindy, haz caso y ve a verlo" her grandmother insisted. (cindy, pay attention and go see him)

she sighed and slowly nodded, turning to esme.

"what?" she asked.

"he's having his release party tonight, do you want to come with me?" cindy asked.

"girl i'm waiting for bad bunny's album to release" she leaned back and crossed her arms.

"come on- we can stay for the derby. you got mad at me last year for not bringing you with us"
