To This New Year (C)

So Long

I woke up but instead of being in my bed I was in a place, everything was white. I then realized I've been here before. The hospital. This place keeps saving me, can't they see I want to die? I don't remember attempting though? So why am I- oh yeah. I sat up and then realized something was holding me down. When I saw the hands around my waist I freaked out and pushed the body off of the bed. "Ow what the fuc- Oh my God Jackie!" David jumped back up and hugged- no squished me. "Calm down. I'm fine David, " I said looking at him. "Why are you crying?" I asked, seeing him crying made be feel bad about being here. "I'm fine David stop crying, please." I said trying to wiggle out of his grip, But he only tightened it. "You were in a coma, Jackie, you've been asleep for 3 weeks, they were going to take you off of life support today." He said letting go of me. "3 weeks? Wow. Oh. Oh my. I'm sorry. Can you get a nurse please?" I felt like throwing up. I was asleep for 3 weeks. I got another hug before he walked out. The clock read 12:24 pm. I switched the TV on and there was some sort of dark parade on. (AN: if you know what I'm talking about ily) David came back in with a nurse and she flashed a huge smile and said "Yes. David, she really is awake this time." With a toothy grin, she looked at me "Hello, dear how're you doing?" I just nodded, "Thats good, I'm Mrs, Reynolds but you can call me Isobel with an o instead of an a." She said and started writing down some stuff on her clipboard. "I'll check back later dear. David try to be gentle with her." She said. "Okay, love you ." love ? She closed the door after giving him a warning glare. "Oh, my mom's your nurse by the way, which is how I'm in here so early." He said with a smile. "Oh, okay. Well what has happened in the last 3 weeks" I said laughing still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I slept for 3 weeks. "Uhh, I don't know." He said as Isabel walked back in. "Hi darling, David I need you to wait outside for a little." She said while grabbing some supplies. "But I-" he started But stopped as soon as his mother gave him a look. "Fine. Bye Jay" he left lowering his head in defeat. I just laughed. "Alright Jackie, how are ya? Ive heard quite a lot about ya." she started.
