DAY THREE

ALYZA's POV

Upon waking up, I looked at my husband, and he seemed to be enjoying his sleep. I decided to take a shower and planned to invite him for breakfast.

7:00 am

8:00 am

9:00 am

He was still sleeping soundly, snoring loudly.

"Hubby, how do we do this? I'd like us to have breakfast together. You seem to be enjoying your sleep," I whispered to him.

"I'll just take out breakfast for you. I know I can't wait for you because I'm always hungry... that's not good for me, right?" I whispered, thinking he could hear me.

I left a text message, and I'm sure he'll read it when he wakes up.

To: Hubby

Good morning, hubby. I decided to go to the restaurant as I couldn't wait for you to wake up. I shouldn't go hungry, right? I'll just get take-out for you. I love you, hubby. Let me love you.

Message sent.

After finishing my meal, there was still no reply. I went back carrying the take-out breakfast for hubby. Upon entering the room, I was surprised to find the empty bed. The breakfast I brought was untouched. I checked the bathroom, but he wasn't there either. My husband was missing again, and he didn't send a single text message to inform me of his whereabouts.

Tears welled up in my eyes, and it felt like my heart was breaking.

"Is this not a coincidence anymore, hubby? Are you intentionally hurting me?" I silently questioned myself.

11:00 am

12:00 pm

1:00 pm

No sign of hubby, not even a single text message. Despite my crushed heart, I kept on fighting.

The breakfast I intended for hubby turned into my lunch. I didn't want it to go to waste, considering how many people go hungry worldwide.

"This will do for now; I'll make up for it at dinner. I'll reserve a dinner for two," I consoled myself.

"Yes, ma'am. Reserve dinner for two at 7:00 PM; bill under room 14344; Mrs. Alyza Sarmiento. Thank you," I told the restaurant staff who accommodated me.

"I'll text hubby to make him aware of our dinner date," I said with a forced smile.

To: Hubby

Hi hubby, I reserved dinner for two at the hotel's restaurant at 7:00 PM tonight. I love you, hubby. Let me love you.

Message sent.

As expected, no reply.

"I better take a nap to feel fresh for our dinner date with hubby," I said, sounding like a teenager invited to a first date.

I woke up at 5:00 pm, with enough time to prepare. Looking around, hubby was still nowhere to be found, and there was no reply. I thought of texting him again.

To: Hubby

Hello hubby, just a reminder of our dinner. See you at the hotel's restaurant at 7:00 PM.

Message sent.

I finished getting ready, but still, no reply.

Dialing hubby...
