Days had passed... I don't have any communication at all with Alyza... I don't have any updates about her too...I missed her...I feel emptiness...
Rose is constantly in rage over Alyza though they never saw each other again. I stay in her house, the house I bought for her. Day and night, she rants and nags all the way she can... I just ignore her, I am thinking of her situation...she will give birth any time of the week...I seem can't take her anymore, but I think of the baby....nawalan na ako ng anak, ayoko ng mawalan ng isa pa.
Here comes the day, I rushed Rose to the hospital...my mother and friends one by one came to support me.
A man in his doctor's robe... Get out of the delivery room... Informing us that it is a baby boy.I wonder why I didn't feel the excitement the way I expected to feel...or I am just guilty of my baby girl's fate...
I am settling the bill at the cashier when I saw a man and a woman walking in the corridor, nakatalikod sila sa akin...Si Alyza talaga sa tingin ko ang babae, sinundan ko sila... and I heard the woman say...
"No need for you to buy me that, that's waste of money," Sabi nun babae na ka boses tlaga ni Alyza...
"It's my choice, not yours... It's mine" sabi ng lalaki
"You told me it is fake, but the salesgirl is very sure you bought it there for 2 million...just a bangle for 2 million, are you crazy?"
"Of course not... "
Hinde ko na narinig pa ang pag uusap nla, pumasok na sila sa loob ng isang private office.
Di alaga ako mapakali, so I dare to ask the cashier
"I hope you won't mind if I ask whose office is that one there at the end of this alley?" I asked
"Ah, that one there sir?" Cashier
"That room...? That's Dr. Mondragon's Clinic...and the next room is his private room... It has an adjoining door sir, but no one is allowed to enter his private room until he says so.." cashier
"Dr. Raphael Mondragon?" I asked to be sure
"Yes sir, the owner of this hospital...at yung babaeng kasama nya palagi dyan, girlfriend siguro nya...Kasi mula noon wala pang dinadalang babae dyan si doc, sya pa lng." The cashier volunteered informations.
Two months later, after the baby's monthly check-up... Rose urged me to enter a jewelry store in the mall... She is asking me to buy her a diamond ring, it's not that I can't afford it, but she drains the allotment I gave to her for those fancy things... She asked the sales clerk to show her a ring, while I sat on the chair waiting for her...I notice a woman at the corner trying to refuse to try a set of rings, earrings, bangles, and bracelets...
"I will not buy that" Alyza
"You don't like it ma'am?" the sales clerk
"She can't afford that!" Rose butt in that made me shock.
As I looked at the woman whom Rose intruded, it was Alyza.
"Ma'am I just told them to let her try if it fits her fingers" the sales clerk
"You should keep that..." Rose, to the salesclerk... "ang ambisyosa mo naman
para mag astang kaya mong bilhin yan," Sabi nya kay Alyza.
