ALYZA's POV
Early in the morning, around 5 am, I wake up and decide to take a stroll along the seashore. It's so relaxing, with the wind gently brushing my face, feeling like a cold breeze is hugging me.
"Hmmm, it's almost tear-jerking... the cold breeze is like giving me a hug, even though it's not December yet," I think to myself.
I wonder when my husband will do this, I'll watch the sunrise, I think. After that, I'll get our breakfast.
I enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset. As the sun gradually rises, I sit on a swing under a large ficus tree, feeling like a restless soul. Many scenes flash in my mind, the ones at the bar, the ones at the cottage, the nights when Hendricks leaves me alone.
"Why is it like this? We're about to go home, and we haven't had any memorable moments in this resort."
I ponder deeply, lost in my thoughts. I realize this when someone throws a small pebble at me.
"Why is this Amboy here? So early in the morning?" I think to myself.
"Maybe you're stalking me, huh? Why do you seem to be tailing me?" I interrogate him.
"Good morning, beautiful Alyza," he responds.
"Hey, why aren't you answering? Are you a stalker?"
"Probably... you have such endearing terms for me, 'stalker'... yesterday, Amboy," he says with a pretend tone of offense.
"Endearing terms, huh... where are you?" I ask.
"Right here in front of you," he answers.
"Oh, trying to block my way," I say.
"Nope... if you have nowhere to go, let's go back to the restaurant, and have breakfast?" he invites me.
"I'm heading back there... but sorry, I can't join you for breakfast. I'll just get takeout," I say.
"Okay, let's go," he replies.
To be honest, I just wanted to get takeout because I feel guilty. I'm afraid my husband might have worried about me since I didn't sleep in our room last night. I'll apologize.
Carrying my takeout breakfast back to our room, as soon as I entered, I saw my husband on the veranda.
"His hair is all messed up... like he's in a hurry. I wonder where he came from?" I thought to myself.
He's just staring at me, and I can't figure out what's on his mind.
"Hubby, good morning. I'm sor—"
"Scratch that, Alyza. No problem. You do what you want, and I'll do what I want. Deal," he interrupts.
"Not like that... I mean—"
"Shut up. Stop this nonsense conversation," he insists.
"Let's eat. Here's your coffee," I say as I hand him his coffee.
We eat in silence. I decided to keep quiet to avoid an argument.
After finishing our meal, I quickly cleaned up the dishes.
"I'll go shower first. I've prepared your clothes," I say and hurriedly enter the bathroom to hide my unsolicited tears. They fell one by one. It hurts so much. He didn't even look for me. I didn't mean anything to him.
