ALYZA'S POV
at office
It's been months since I'm back from my 10-day NY/Hawaii vacation....all went well... I'm back to work, Raphael's in some instances sending messages greeting me and the baby, and Hendricks still doing the same...on weekends he is always on out-of-town conferences or meetings...
But the things between us seem lighter, we are just civil to each other... I am still doing my responsibility as his wife... No personal questions asked... I raise no issues. I avoid the issue between him and his paramour...
Maybe, I already accepted my fate...Hendricks is still with me because of our parents and the baby...If he is given the choice, he will choose to be permanent with Rose and their baby... and he will dump us just like garbage in the trash. I accepted it wholeheartedly the moment I saw the annulment papers in our drawer signed by him. Without question...though it's so painful, it broke my heart and crushed my soul... that moment I almost wanted to stop breathing, I signed it. I am just waiting for the time he will ask me personally and my baby to vacate, if that happens I will have my graceful exit. I can't cry anymore, no more tears flow... I will wait for the time that the Court will serve me the decision for the annulment.
FLASHBACK
I arrived home after lunch... I gave my pasalubong to Manang Fe Manong Kanor and other house helpers... they were happy with their souvenir shirts and keychains...
I helped prepare dinner for Hendricks, but I did not inform him I was home... I want to surprise him...
Later around 7eve, I heard his car coming...
"Hello, husband! I'm home!" I excitedly greet him... I saw surprise and happiness in his eyes... and all of a sudden a confused look and then back to cold stares... I didn't mind it.
"Dinner is ready... come let's eat," I told him
"Thanks..." he said
As we start eating ...
"Hubby I brought some pasalubong... it's in our room...I hope you'll like it," I said
"Okay, thank you," he coldly replied... but as I saw him eating as if he had never eaten in a lifetime... so I kept quiet and just continued eating so that I wouldn't disturb him.
HENDRICKS POV
at office
The time I saw Alyza at home, my heart jumped for joy... I just wonder if she just tells me how she's doing in NY, then in Hawaii that I attentively listen but pretend not... But she never confronts me about seeing me at the airport with a woman... She even brought pasalubong for me.... and as I arrived dinner was ready...
