Immortal love (Caius)

The new kid

When I woke I felt groggy and stressed since I tossed and turned all night, the last thing I wanted to do was go to school. I wanted to focus on researching the history of the black magic covens, this all made me wish that my mama talked about it more back then. She always talked about the humans who colonized and killed but she never wanted to really talk about the dark powers that lurked in the shadows. She always said it was in the past, that we were protected, but I think deep down she knew they were never really gone. If they had really found me I had to find a way to protect myself, they were ancient and knew more about my cosmic power than I did, considering they spent their entire existence searching for it. I had never really pondered my mortality but for the first time, I felt like I wasn't immortal. They had the power to end me. I put these thoughts on the back burner. 

Today we had a biology field trip so maybe it would be fun. The field trip was to a plant nursery I couldn't think of a more calming place for me to be, well maybe there was a more calming place... Caius's arms. I rolled my eyes at myself, how much more cheesy could I get? 

I got dressed for the day putting on a green flowy skirt with black tights underneath to keep me warm, for the top, I put on a white turtle neck with a cropped phases of the moon t-shirt over it, and I added a brown cardigan over top slipped on my usual platformed doc martens with my white frilly socks put my wavy hair half up with a clip and ran down the stairs. 

"Morning Sol, feeling okay today?" Edward said from the living room. "Um yeah just tired I hardly slept, but I did hear you sneak in late. Where were you?" He stiffened a bit and cleared his throat "Oh I just wandered about, I didn't feel like listening to you snore like usual." I saw images of Bella sleeping flash through his mind. " Ha Ha very funny, you know I can read your mind right creeper? Care to explain why you are watching Bella sleep" He adjusted awkwardly annoyed that I read his mind "It's not polite to pry and read my thoughts without my permission Sol" I rolled my eyes while sitting next to him and drinking some orange juice "I really don't think you have any moral ground to stand on right now unless you asked Bella for permission before sneaking in and watching her sleep." He stayed quiet for a moment "I think about her constantly, watching her sleep brings me peace. I don't intend it to be creepy but I guess I could see how it is." he said and I nodded "While yes, it is a bit creepy, I understand where you are coming from more than you know." He looked down and didn't speak out loud anymore. "I'm sorry for the way I have treated you concerning Caius, I know now that love isn't something you can just ignore." My eyes widened and I choked on my orange juice a bit. "Oh um I don't know about love, but yeah the mate bond is definitely a force that can't be fought..." Edward answered me out loud "It's the same thing. Love, mate bond at the end of the day it's the same thing." I just nodded not really knowing what to say.

Today Alice, Jasper, Edward, and I rode together since we were all going on the field trip. We arrived and I saw Bella leaning against her truck waiting to load into the busses, I smiled at her then her attention was directed toward Edward, they shared a rather intense stare. "Are you just going to stare at her?" I asked telepathically. Edward just shook his head, he looked like he wanted to go talk to her, but he just stayed with us. Mike Newton approached Bella and started talking to her but she was uninterested. I could tell Edward was listening to their conversation and he look a little annoyed. Mike's mind was riddled with infatuation and obsession for Bella so I understood why he was annoyed. It was funny seeing Edward jealous. I nudged him in the ribs and said "Come on let's get on the bus."

As I hopped off the bus I couldn't wait to see the plants and just take my mind off all the dark shit happening around me. Edward walked past me towards Bella, Jasper and Alice walked the opposite way to start outside of the greenhouse. Well, I guess I was on my own, just me and the trees. I shrugged my shoulders and just went to go walk with Bella and Edward hoping to maybe cut some of their tension and not look like a loner. "What's in Jacksonville?" Edward said to Bella and she looked confused "How do you know about that?" she answered. "You didn't answer my question." Edward answered rudely and my eyes wandered as I was starting to feel awkward maybe I should've just walked alone. "Well you don't answer any of mine so... I mean you don't even say hi to me." She said with an attitude. Edward straightened up and said "hi" I rolled my eyes "uh yeah that's my cue, catch you guys later." I said as I walked fast to evade the conversation. I came here to relax not to watch my brother make an ass of himself.
