A New Darkness

 "Solstice let me help you up." Edward reached for me. I slightly waved his hand away to try to stop him from touching me and made him fly back against a tree. "Fuck! I didn't mean to, I think I took too much energy. I need to adjust to my strength. I think you should all just stay away from me. I've hurt you enough haven't I?" I felt Jasper trying to calm me down and my eyes flashed red as I pushed back and blocked him from my mind and he winced. 

I got up and went towards the house, then I saw a flash of images, my family looking for me. They were worried, Esmse looked defeated, Edward was pacing saying he was coming after me, Carlisle sat silent not knowing what to do... Alice was seeing what was going to happen, she knew I was planning on leaving. "Don't follow me.. Don't let any of them follow me, I just need space, I will come back." I said directly to Alice with my telepathy. "We can help you, you need your family." She pleaded with me. Edward stood up and saw what Alice foresaw too. I felt him get angry "Don't leave me, you promised we would always be there for eachother let me be there for you. Don't run away, we can help you". I shot a hard look at him "None of you can help me if you are dead. Do not follow me, I will be back... I love you Eddie just wait for me" A tear rolled down my face as I walked away from my destroyed garden and heartbroken family. Edward stepped forward to follow me but Alice held him back.

I ran up my stairs and shut my door and put up a silencing spell. I fell down and just sobbed into my hands. I felt like a monster, like a thief. My hands did not radiate the beautiful blue energy they once did now it was a blood red... tainted with misuse of my power maybe. Who was I? My mother never told me this could happen, I almost died which I didn't think was possible for me until the black magic witches rolled around. But I could steal energy, I could steal life force. How was I not a monster if this is something I was always capable of. Everything felt like a lie, had the universe abandoned me? What was I even fighting for at this point? Maybe there were no dark forces, maybe I was the dark forces. Of all the times my powers got the best of me it was never anything like this, this was dark and deep from within me, like I had unlocked something that was never supposed to be unlocked.

 My relationship with nature was balanced, I appreciated nature and never took more than I could give back. Now only did I steal and disrespect nature, I almost stole two of my brothers lives. I started to feel frustrated at all my unanswered questions. Something had pushed me to the edge, brought me to the brink of death and forced my magic to save me in a wicked way.

I stood up quickly and began to pack some bags. I had no clue where I was going but I had to leave. I hurt my family and I couldn't even bear to look at them. Suddenly I felt a strong pull, I tried to fight it but I couldn't. Everything around me faded...
