The weekend passed quickly and the marauders have Defense Against the Dark Arts which that are all happy about because it is one of their favorite lessons. That was until Edith heard what they were learning about that lesson.

They all sit down at the same table. The teacher walk to the front of the broom bringing out a old projector and a white page to put it on. He says sternly "Turn to page 394."

Everyone turns there pages quiet quickly except from Remus and Edith who are taking their time. Wanting to avoid learning about themselves. The professor with a quick flick of his wand Edith and Remus are on the right page.

"Which one of you can tell me the difference from an Werewolf and a Wolf-Shifter?" He asks causing Edith and Remus to visibly freeze. Lily shoots up her hand.

"Yes Miss Evans?" The teacher asks.

"A werewolf has no choice to when to turn into an Animal, each full moon when they transform they no longer remember who they are. He would kill his best friend if they cross his path. Furthermore a werewolf only responds to the call of its own kind." Edith who is sitting next to Remus gives him a sad gaze which he returns. The rest of the marauders smile softly at him. Lily continues now on wolf-shifters.

"You can only become a wolf-shifter from being bitten, A wolf-shifter is a very dangerous animal because they can mostly choose when they shift and control their own mind which is useful for dark wizards, like a werewolf a wolf-shifter has to shift on a full moon, they can do it before the moon rises and keep their mind or have a force shift causing it to lose its mind like a Werewolf. If feeling strong emotions a wolf-shifter will have a forced shift and also lose it's mind. People often dread being a wolf-shifter as any strong emotion can trigger the shift." Lily explains knowing an awful lot on wolf-shifters.

Edith noticed that she described them as dangerous. And all over horrible animals. This makes the girl look down sadly and pick the the skin around her fingers. Trying to fight back what Lily said about wolf-shifters. She described them as they are the worst thing in the world.

She feels Remus lightly kick her shoe, trying to catch her attention. The girl meets his eyes. He gives her a sympathetic smile, which she tries to return but fails miserably. Little did they know that Lily was watching their interaction and trying to figure out the marauders secret. She had a hunch it was about werewolves and wolf-shifters.

As soon as the lesson finished Edith and Remus had to get out of there. Somewhere airy where the two could breath. The marauders crowd around Remus reassuring him as they head down to their favorite tree next to the lake.

"It is okay mate, no one realized that you were one." James says to Remus as they sit down.

"I do hope you won't kill us though." Peter says almost  absent mindedly. Causing the rest of the group to laugh at his badly made joke. All except from Edith who is lost in her thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Sirius whispers sitting next to her. The whole group turn to her hearing who quiet she has been and Sirius' question.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be." Edith responds while Remus gives her a sympathetic smile.

"You just seem quiet." Sirius replies plainly looking worried.

"I am fine." Says the girl standing up to leave "Just remembered I have homework to finish" She says walking quickly away from the group she calls family towards that castle. What would that say if they knew? Would they think her a monster too? Like Lily? She doesn't think she can take it if they do.
