"Please, no, no!" Edith Wheeler says out loud tossing and turning in her sleep. She wakes up with a jolt sitting upright. She looks around herself the other marauders still fast asleep. At least that is what she thought. She hears James snoring lightly and Remus was breathing heavily.
Although things in Edith's life are seeming to look up it doesn't stop the nightmares of losing control and hurting everyone she knows and cares about. No matter how hard she can control it she is still dangerous and that scares her more then ever.
Edith throws off the covers and slips out of bed shivering as the cold tiled floors touch her feet. She slips on a Gryffindor jumper over her crop top and ties on her boots over her jogging bottoms. She tries to creep out the room as quite as possible then down the stairs and out of the Gryffindor common room.
She walk up the Astronomy Tower and leans on the railing and smiles as the cold air hits her cheeks reminding her of who she is and that she is still in this skin not the other one still herself.
She hears someone walking up behind her but doesn't bother to turn around. What are they possibly going to do? Push her off the Astronomy Tower?
Sirius hears the squeak of their door as it opens and closer. He slowly wakes rubbing his eyes and sitting up so he can see who left. Edith.
He jumps out of bed pulling on a black jumper and re-tying his grey jogging bottoms before pulling on some shoes and sneaking out of the room with the map. Leaving the rest of the marauders asleep.
Sirius follows Edith's mark as it seems to be standing still at the top of the tower. He walks up the last step to see her leaning on the railing eyes closed, her face content and peaceful. He goes and stands next to her leaning on the railing the same way she is.
"Hi" She whispers sparing him a quick glance before staring out over the castle grounds.
"Hey, you alright?" He asks, he doesn't know what comes over him and he moves his hand over to where hers is on the railing and places his over hers.
Sirius doesn't know what he expected to happen. Edith looks down at his hand over hers before turning her hand over so he can properly place it in hers before intertwining their fingers. She gives him a small smile and he grins back. Both of them feel butterflies in their stomach, before looking out over the Hogwarts grounds.
Sirius doesn't know what to say so he just squeezes her hand slightly trying to comfort her without words the best he can. He waits a second and feels a slight squeeze back, which makes him smile and blush slightly.
Edith looks at his face out of the corner of her eye. His cheeks are a rosy pink and he had a bashful smile on his face. She makes THE Sirius Black nervous?
The two don't know how long they stay their watching the snow fall. But both of them knew that night changed something between them. Something for the better.
So when Edith said they should get back before the boys woke and realizes they were missing. Sirius didn't mind following back. Because it was her who he was following.

Edith and Sirius managed to creep back in unnoticed and the rest of the day went the same as it always does. But the two kept on trying to steal glances at each other, when no one else was looking.
That night wasn't nothing both of them realized it.
For Edith it was the night she realized she had feeling for Sirius Orion Black The Third. And that maybe that person she always had looked for, longed for looking at other couples. Was always right Infront of her.
For Sirius it was the night he realized that his feeling were more than just a crush, they were deeper, not quite love, but something he never thought he could have right infront of him. It was also the night that he realized he might actually have a chance with the girl he has been crushing on since third year.
