Hogsmeade was something that the group look forward to every year. Especially this year as Edith finally got her Dad to sign it for her so called "Good behavior" so she doesn't have to sneak in through the passage to Honey dukes. It was the one point in time where all marauders could feel happy outside Hogwarts grounds.
Edith adored the small town, it was quiet with only the necessary shops and was safe compared to other places right now due to Voldemort's rise.
Winter was oncoming and the snow has set. The group of marauders dress up warm and joke while heading down to Hogsmeade.

While in Honey dukes they were talking about a familiar subject. Sirius Blacks love life.
"You could go out with anyone Padfoot, almost all the girls at school want you." Says James talking louder than needed.
"James, mate, I don't want to go out with just anyone. I know who I want." Sirius huffs in reply. Sirius likes a girl, a singular girl. That is new.
To say he was a bit of a play boy in his first years at Hogwarts is an understatement, he had a different girl on his arm everyday of the week. But after he moved out of his parents to James's he stopped and just settled down, happy to be in his friends company.
"Who is the lucky lady?" James asks Sirius wiggling his eyebrows.
"It's a mystery Prong, I will not tell you" Sirius says dramatically flipping his hair and nearly nocking a whole jar of sweets over.
"Oh come on Paddy, won't you tell your favorite girl?" Edith asks giving him her best puppy dog eyes.
"Nope, no can do Darling." He says smirking slightly.
"Do I know her?" Edith asks him pleadingly.
"Oh you know her alright!" Remus interferes.
"You know?" Edith asks looking surprised "You told him, but not me?" She asks again slightly offended.
"I was not exactly told" Remus says looking at the shelfs for his precious chocolate "More like worked it out."
"Do you want to know?" Remus asks Edith who is curiously listening in.
"Don't" Sirius asks slapping a hand over Remus's open mouth "Nope, no, no. If you tell her I will murder you and then hide the body in the room of requirement so no one will ever find you" He says dramatically.
"Now I want to know." Peter sighs quietly looking for lemon sherbets.
"What about you Blue, any boys on the horizon?" James asks ruffling his hair attempting to make it messier than it already is.
"Even if I did." Edith says reaching for a lollipop and putting it in her mouth "I wouldn't tell you lot, you are the worst secret keepers ever."
"Ouch, your words pain me Darling" Sirius says holding his heart dramatically sighing.

The marauders walked happily down the cobbled streets of Hogsmeade. Sirius and James slightly ahead discussing some important matter as the other three walk behind laughing and talking amongst themselves. The five had stocked up on their sweets supply, their prank stuff and Remus had also gone in some book shops.
They all return back to the castle. Looking at one another smiling.
Until someone blocks their path. Not a particular someone a group of people. Slytherins. Not just any Slytherins as well, the obvious death eater Slytherins. And who is at the front of the group wand raised like a snake ready to pounce. Regulus Black, Sirius younger brother. You can see Sirius visibly stiffen, they don't get along. Regulus is everything his parents wanted Sirius to be, as Sirius himself is the exact opposite.
"What do you want Black?" James spits his wand somehow making it's way to his hand in a matter of seconds.
"Oh it doesn't concern you Potter!" He spits back almost as quickly as the question came as if he had been expecting it. "Blood traitor, it is about you. If you ever come back to the house you are dead." He sneers the next part. A look crosses Sirius face hurt but is quickly covered by a plain mask.
"Why would he want to come back to that hell hole!" Edith speak up protecting one of her closest friends.
"Oooh your girlfriend fighting your battle" He says looking slightly amused.
"Next time you and your wannabe death eaters come near Sirius, there will be problems." Edith growls aggressively her wand outstretched straight away, standing protectively Infront of Sirius.
"Is that a threat Edith Wheeler?" Regulus asks looking slightly taken back.
"No its a promise." Edith snaps back. Edith shoves by him knocking him onto the floor. She then walks ahead absolutely furious. But then she sees Sirius' face. He looks downfallen. And once they are far enough away she pulls him into a hug.
Sirius is rigid at first not expecting it but then relaxes into it wrapping his arms around her and burying his face into her shoulder. The group join into the hug after a while of soothing the sad Sirius which doesn't happen often. They are all he needs and he is happy to call them his family, not his blood but the ones he has chosen. Especially the girl that stood up for him. That's what she doesn't know. This mystery girl is her, has always and will always be her.
