The sunlight reflected through the window of the dorm seemed to wake everyone up, except from Edith Wheeler. James sometimes teased her by the fact that she always awake at night and asleep in the day. They didn't know that she had nightmares, how could they. She made sure no one knew, so know one knew she was different.
Thanks to a lot of pleading with Dumbledore, Edith was allowed to have her own bed in the marauders dorm and share with them. They are the only thing she has closest to real family after all.
"Edith, wake up, don't forget what day it is, its a school day!" Remus says shaking her shoulders lightly as the rest of the boys headed to the bathrooms to shower and get dressed.
"Okay, now it is just me. What is bothering you that you feel the need to pretend to sleep?" Asks Remus trying to hide his grin as the girl rolls over to face him.
"How did you know I was faking?" Edith asks confused.
"Well you do not sleep an awful lot and often do pretend so I recognize the over exaggerated breathing. Now what bothering you?" Remus asks Edith once again.
"Nothing is bothering me Rem," Edith says sitting up.
"Is it about the next full moon?" Remus asks worried.
"No" The ginger girl replies straight away.
"Then it is!" Says Remus catching on right away.
"No it is not" Edith replies firmly and stands up to go to the toilet. Causing Remus to sigh.
Remus has known her secret since first year when she stopped him from hurting himself when he had shifted. He just wished she would feel happy enough to share it with the others without sneaking out and hiding in the forbidden forest until the morning while the others helped him with his shift.

Edith changes slowly into her favorite outfit trying not to move to quickly because something that Remus did not know was she had a forced shift last night (which is when the wolf side of her forces her to shift), so all her bones ache and feel tiered.
She changes into her favorite Gryffindor jumper and some jeans not being bothered to wear the traditional robes today.

Edith came out of the bathroom to see the rest of the boys ready to leave.
"Sleeping beauty awakes!" James jokes causing Edith to lightly punch him in the arm.
"Ooh fisty this morning!" Sirius teases.
"Shut up Padfoot, or I will shove my wand down your throat." Edith glares at him as Remus puts a light hand on the girls shoulder.
"Boys, you know better to tease her before she has had her morning coffee, lets get going!" Remus says saving the other boys from a painful deaths.

"You feel better now?" Remus whispers while Edith sips her morning coffee. Keeping the warm mug close to her face. She studies the great hall making her wake up more and more as students enter the hall for breakfast.
"Yeah, can I speak to you later though, alone." Edith whispers back quietly wanting to discuss her forced shift.
"Of course" Remus says smiling kindly at Edith, being the only one to know her secret.
"What are you two whispering about?" Sirius asks a lopsided grin on his face his hair messy hanging around his chin. He wears a leather jacket instead of his cloak but has the rest of the uniform on properly.
"Just the finishing touches on the map." Remus ads calmly smiling at his morning coffee.
"It is almost ready?" Peter asks.
"Yep." Remus replies.
James stands up suddenly as Lily Evans approaches us. "Morning Lily, you look beautiful as ever this morning!" James tries to charm winking at her.
"Oh Sod off Potter!" Lily exclaims rolling her eyes "I am here for Edie, I was wondering if you wanted to have a girls sleepover tonight?" Lily asks.
"I..I can't" She mutters sadly turning to face Lily "Sorry." Lily narrows her eyes at her slightly but nods walking away.
"Why can't you go, I mean it is not like your missing anything with us lot?" James asks confused.
"She just can't leave it alone Prongs." Remus says giving the boy an innocent smile that seems to convince James that Edith isn't not hanging out with Lily for a good reason.

The marauders had got to potions just on time. They had Professor Slughorn who was pleasantly surprised that they weren't late. They all flood into their normal table which had five seats the perfect amount for all of them. Sirius and James next to each other on one side, Remus and Peter next to each other opposite Sirius and James. With Edith on the end.
"Now you all now know the drill you will be set a list of potions and you will try a couple of them and present them to the class, however this year you will be in assigned pairs." Slughorn announces his belly giggling as he walks around the desks.
"Okay, umm. Mr Black and Miss Wheeler." Slughorn announces causing the two to high five each other. "Potter and Evans" He says uneasily causing James to smile like a mad man at Lily and her to scowl back. "Peter and Alice" He says next causing Peter to shy away and Alice to smile awkwardly. "Remus and Marlene" Causing Marlene to look annoyed and Remus to look uneasy putting a piece of chocolate in his mouth.
Peter looks sad "Padfoot your lucky you get to be with Blue" he says sighing.
"Isn't she lucky to be with me?" Sirius asks teasing easily.
"Nah, she is a marauder and she is actually good at potions" Peter explains easily.
"WHAT?" Says Sirius sarcastically outraged.
"I mean, the boys not wrong." Edith says smiling at her two friends silly conversation.
