{Fifth year}
After that day in first year the four boys and one girl were all sorted into the same house, Gryffindor. From then on their group were known as 'The Marauders' fitting for then. If there was any mischief at Hogwarts they were either behind it or knew about it. They were the royalty of Gryffindor house and almost everyone knew who they were. The marauders consisted of five people: Peter Pettigrew, James Potter, Sirius Black, Edith Wheeler and Remus Lupin.
James was the unofficial leader of the group since he had technically came up with the idea and always had pranks planned and tricks to play on others who deserved it. As well as being the proud Gryffindor captain. James has the same messy dark brown hair he owned since day one but he is older and less skinny. He is the most laid back and only really cares about three things in this order: The rest of the Marauders, Lily Evans and Quidditch. Lily Evans is the girl he has been crushing on since first year and yet to return the feeling. She is also one of Edith's closest friends outside the marauders. James would do anything to protect his friends.
Then there was Peter the shyest of the group always trailing behind the rest but behind closed doors he was a happy and talkative person, proud to be in his friends company.
Remus was undoubtedly one of the smartest marauders and almost always had his head in a book or was in the library studying. Many people think he is the least troublesome of the gang but actually unlike Sirius and James he is smart enough to not get caught. He is also a werewolf but only the marauders, Dumbledore as well as some of the Professors know. Edith found out in the first full moon at Hogwarts as the others found out in third year.
Then there was Sirius Black the arrogant, jokester of the group. Who always seems to come up with sarcastic comments or tease members of the group in some way. He has this need to go out of his way to annoy his mother and is very good at doing so. On the outside he is the arrogant Beater for the quidditch team but the people who know him. Which is literally only the marauders know how caring he can be. He doesn't hesitate to protect any of the marauders as they are his family. Sirius has also grown in height and his hair is as wild as ever but he seems to style it pretty well.
Edith Wheeler, is the last member of the marauders. As well as the only girl, she has a resting b*tch face and always seems to come out with Sarcastic comments and has a carefree persona, she likes doing reckless things as it makes her feel free. Trouble is her middle name and she can often be seen pranking with Sirius and James but like Remus she rarely gets caught but always leaves clues that she was in on the prank. The teachers have no proof so she doesn't get in to much detentions. She is also the other Beater on the quidditch team and has a hell of a swing. Because of her ginger hair and blue eyes she was of course nicknamed 'Blue' by her group.
The marauders are protective of each other and always have each others backs and you can almost never find one marauder alone without the rest. No one messes with them because if you attack one the other four are going to come after you.

Today is the first day of fifth year, well almost Edith still has to get on the train. She got there early of course ready to go and claim their compartment. Star dropped her off again as her parents don't care enough to do so.
She goes and sits in the carriage praying for her banging headache to go away before the noisy bunch of boys arrive. Too late. The cabin door bursts open to reveal a smiling Sirius.
"Hello Blue!" He shouts.
"Sod off Sirius" Edith says glaring at him before muttering incantations under her breath to ease her head pain.
"I had a good summer too, thanks for asking." He says rolling his eyes, his smile weaking a bit.
"Sorry, Sirius." She mutters, opening her arms for a hug which he accepts gratefully.
"Merlin, I have missed you" He mutters into her ear.
"Why I though you stayed with James?" She asks pulling away from the hug.
"Oh, I did. But James' hug will never beat an Edith hug" He says smirking.
"What did you say about my hugs?" asks James from the doorway and behind him are Remus and Peter.
"James! How was you summer?" She asks hugging him tightly.
"So he gets a proper hello and I get a 'sod off Sirius'?" Edith hears Sirius mutter under his breath from behind her making all of them laugh.
"Good, good, what about yours?" He asks.
"It was okay" She half heartedly replies with a fake smile.
"What about my hug?" Remus asks from behind James.
"Hello Remus." She says hugging him warmly. To which he smiles and goes to sit down.
"Why am I always last?" Peter asks as he is crushed in a hug.

"I am telling you this is my year!" James exclaims once again talking about his world famous crush on Lily Evans.
"James, I admire your optimism but don't we have more important things to worry about this year?" Remus asks a blabbering James.
"Yes! Like Quidditch and pranks and of course Lily again. Oh and food!" James says cocking his head to the side deadly serious. Causing the rest of them to blast out laughing.
Halfway through the journey Edith pulls out a book and rests her head on Sirius' shoulder while she reads. Causing Sirius to blush ever so slightly, but she didn't notice.
Sirius' eyes instantly went to her book as he starts to read over her shoulder smiling at the parts she smiled at.
Remus gave Sirius knowing eyes while Sirius just rolled his. Edith was just a friend, so why does he feel butterflies around her?
Halfway through the journey Edith stands up announcing that she is going to change, but actually she goes out the back of the train for some fresh air.
