Edith loves the Potter's house. On the outside it seems quite small but on the inside it is massive and so homey. James's parents are really kind and caring and seem to honestly care about all of them.
It is about two weeks into summer so the rest of the marauders aren't there yet. Edith spends her days playing Quidditch with the boys, lounging in the garden or sneaking off with Sirius. It is a good life at the Potter's house, and Edith wants this to be her life when she is older.
Although the Potter's house is quite secluded. It doesn't stop them from getting the news of dark wizards on the rise calling themselves 'Death Eaters'. Euphemia tries to keep the soon to be adults far away from the news papers as possible. But they can't hide the obvious danger that's is coming.
"Hello darling" Sirius says smirking and slipping into the girls bedroom having successfully distracted James.
"Hello Paddy." The red head smiles as he shuts the door behind him.
"I have missed you" Sirius says in a cheesy way putting his arms around her waist.
"You have literally have been with me all day" Edith laughs running her hands through his hair.
"You know what I mean." Sirius mutters before connecting their lips.
James pushes open the bedroom door about to ask weather Edith has seen his toothbrush. What he was not expecting to see was his two best friends kissing.
"Hey, Edith have you seen- WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN!" James shouts. Causing the two to jump away from each other.
"YOU!" He says pointing a shaking finger at Sirius who gives him a smirk "AND- WELL YOU!" He says pointing at Edith who blushes a deep shade of red.
Sirius nervously reaches his hand out to Edith who grabs it intertwining their fingers and stepping closer to him.
"What? When? Where? How?" James says messing up his hair in confusion how did he miss something as big as this.
"A couple of days after the ball" Edith mutters.
"Are you happy?" James asks pacing slightly.
"Yes" Sirius mutters he wants James to accept this because if James does then everyone can.
"Definitely" Edith says nodding her head.
"Well then good, great. I mean this" He says pointing between the two "Is bloody brilliant!" He says braking into a smile and pulling Edith into a hug. Edith smiles happily hugging him back. Sirius also smiles seeing James' reaction his best mate approves.
James pulls out of the hug and reaches into his pocket pulling out his wand. "Sirius Orion Black the third, if you dare hurt Edith Wheeler you will have a very painful death" He says threatingly.
"Who says she is not going to hurt me?" Sirius asks slightly offended. James lowers his wand.
"Good point." He says turning to Edith "If you Edith Wheeler dare hurt Sirius Orion Black the Third, you will be in big trouble you hear me?"
"Yes okay, we understand" She says stepping away from James and walking over to Sirius who loops his arm around her waist.
"I would never hurt my Edie" He says kissing the girl lightly on the forehead.
"Gross" Says James scrunching his nose and sitting on the bed.
"Shut it Prongs, you love it" Sirius says smirking.
"We had to deal with you and Lily and now you have to deal with us" Edith says also smirking.
"I guess that is fair." He says sitting up. "Now are you up for some quidditch?" He says standing up.
"I could never say no to Quidditch!" Edith exclaims smiling and following James out the door. Sirius watches them leave with an easy smile on his face. Maybe this year will turn out fine.

"You could have told me you know right?" James asks Sirius as they are trying to get to sleep in the single beds across from each other.
"Well considering how you reacted..." Sirius says sitting up to get a better view of James.
"I was just ... Surprised." James sighs also sitting up "Do any of the others know?"
"Lily does and I think Remus might but doesn't know for sure." Sirius replies.
"You told My Lily Flower before me?" James asks slightly offended.
"Nope, she saw us in the corridor kissing." Sirius laughs.
"So you are telling me this has been going on for four months and none of us realized." James says.
"Yep, pretty much." Sirius replies putting his hair in a bun.
"You care about her huh?" James asks a smirk on his face causing Sirius to blush.
"I think I might love her Prongs." Sirius sighs dreamily as if he is thinking about her.
James gasps. Sirius never says he loves anything even Quidditch so for him to love Edith it is a pretty big deal.
"I didn't know you loves her mate!" James exclaims rubbing the back of his head.
"She is just everything I have ever wanted and more. You know?" He asks James.
"Yeah, I know what you mean" James sighs thinking about his Lily Flower.
"God we are so whipped!" Sirius exclaims lying down.
"Yeah, I guess we are. Would you have though in first year that you would end up with Edith?" James asks relaxing back into his pillow.
"Never." Sirius sighs "But I don't regret being with her, I think younger me would have been revolted. But Prongs she is well the moon to my stars."
