The last few weeks of sixth year were uneventful as summer was approaching. No one knew about Edith and Sirius and the marauders were enjoying Hogwarts life. Next year would be there last year after all.
Edith sits under the whomping willow enjoying the summer sun. She smiles laying her head back against the tree that has always favorited the marauders.
"Hello Blue!" Edith hears Sirius shouts approaching you on his own.
"Hello Paddy" Edith says snuggling into him as he sits down next to her.
"Are you excited for summer?" Sirius asks stroking the wolf girl's hair.
"Yes and no." Edith sighs contently.
"Why yes?" Sirius asks generally interested.
"Because I get to spend the summer with you and James at the Potters" Edith smiles the though of spending her summer with the Potters and not her parents. She can spend the whole time playing quidditch, organizing pranks but best of all with Sirius Black, the boy that she has become rather fond of.
"Hmm, why no?" Sirius asks starting to plait her hair.
"Don't you think it will be harder hiding it in closer proximity?" Edith sighs almost enjoyong sneaking around with her Padfoot. If they let it out it will take away the fun of that.
"Well we could let them walk in on us kissing?" Sirius suggest shrugging.
"We are not doing that." Edith laughs.
They leans against each other content in the moment. Although after a while Edith gets bored.
"Lets do something fun!" The girl suggest standing up stretching.
"What would that be?" Sirius asks following the girl into the forest.
"Just give me a sec" The girl adds as she walks into the forest letting her bones shift turning into her brown colored wolf form, before heading back to the whomping willow where Sirius is sat. She pads over hitting his face softly with her nose.
"Okay, your shifted what do you want to do?" Sirius asks interested in his girls ideas. He watches as her wolf form runs around in circles chasing it's tail. Then he understands. She wants to play. So he stands up and shifts into a big black dog only a little smaller then Edith. He barks excitedly wagging his tail.
They chase each other around late into the afternoon enjoying their time. Eventaully the time came for dinner and they head up in their slightly dirty robes.
"There you are, where did you two head off to?" James asks looking them up and down.
"The woods" Sirius says smiling.
"Yeah, I can see that what in the woods?" Remus asks eyebrows raised.
"Shifting!" Edith says still happy from the day that has come and gone.
"Guys, guess what?" Peter says running in and sitting next to the group already gathered at the Gryffindor table.
"What is up Pete?" Edith says looking worried at the scrawny boy.
"We only have one more day until we are going home for the summer!" He says doing a little horary.
"Oh yeah, what do you guys have tomorrow?" Remus asks looking at his friends.
"Well I have flying lesson and double potions with Slughorn." Edith says without thinking when you have classes at Hogwarts for a year you learn to have it memorized.
"Same" Says Sirius playfully shoving into her side.
"Me as well!" Says Peter happily.
"Us too!" Remus says without looking up from his book.
"Well then, now that's settled, Moony, Wormtail are you coming over the last two weeks of the summer?" James asks since Edith and Sirius are there for the whole summer.
"Yeah Prongs." Remus says flicking a page.
"I can only come for a week." Peter says fiddling with his slim fingers.
"That's fine!" James assures and Peter gives him one of his Peter grins.
