Edith has been distant from the group. They have all felt it. The way when they all chat she doesn't really input. The way when they share tales at night she doesn't talk.
With Edith she believes that she is saving them. But they are just worrying about her in the process.
At 4:30 as usual the girl heads out to the forest. Little did she know that Lily wants answers and she was going to get them tonight. Lily watches the girl walk to the forest until she loses sight of her. That's not normal, usually people stay clear of the forest for the dangers it incases.
Edith's body aches for the shift, as usual. The further she gets in the more her bones want to break. Edith gives up fighting and allows the shift. Her bones break and she screams in pain and as usual she is in her wolf form on the floor.
She stalks through the forest closer to the whomping willow but still in the forest lines to watch the boys and check that they are okay and Remus has an easy shift.
She watches as Remus walks behind the whomping willow next to the cliff waiting for the moon to rise and to turn into a Lycan. The rest of the boys step back Infront of the whomping willow to give him space, laughing and joking to pass the time.
But just as the moon starts to rise, the wind carries another scent to her nose. A scent that is not supposed to be here. Definitely not now. As the moon starts to rise in the air.
She watches in shock as Lily starts to approach Remus who is not yet shifted staring at the rising moon. The boys don't seem to notice the girl.
Edith tries to howl really loud to warn Remus, her howls echoing off the the forest making Remus whip around searching for Edith. But then he sees Lily and its to late.
The moon rises into the middle of the sky plastering Remus's face in moonlight. The boys think everything is normal so they shift into their Animagus. Everyone except from Sirius who looks to the edge of the whomping willow to see a frightened Lily watching Remus shift.
Edith sees Remus's pupils dilate and his back arch his fingers changing into claws his feet growing longer and his jaw changing into a wolf like mouth. Sirius runs over jumping over abandoned rocks to get there.
"Lily, get back!" He shouts. Lily is caught of guard and staggers backwards. Sirius reaches her and protectively stands Infront of her while Moony edges closer.
Edith cannot just sit back in the forest and watch her friends get hurt. She once made a promise to herself that she wouldn't let Remus or herself hurt others and she was planning on sticking to it.
She jumps out of the forest running at the fastest speed that this body will let her go and skids to a stop Infront of Sirius who is honestly shocked, a wild large brown wolf with an orange tint at Hogwarts.
