"Edith! Come on. Up!" Remus says desperately trying to wake up the sleeping girl as the other Marauders rush around trying to pack and be ready to leave. As usual they had all left it to the last minute and slept in. Not a good mix, Remus is the only one who is semi ready.
Edith sighs before slowly sitting up and huffing quietly. The girl really doesn't want to go home because it means being without the boys for two months and a bit. Only going over James' a week before school starts with the rest of the boys and Lily. Who is now his official girlfriend.
Edith doesn't want to go home to her pure-blood mania parents. Who curse her for a tiny slip up or a snide remark. Or just because they feel like it. But where else does she have to go. She doesn't want to go to Peter's because his parents are private and live in the muggle world. She would love to go to Remus's and his parents are really nice and love all his friends. But she would have to explain why she cannot stay at her own house. The same goes for James because he already has Sirius living with his family and she doesn't want to explain. So that leaves her with going home.
Plus she hates asking her friends for things, she knows she can. But she won't she isn't weak.
"Come on Blue, get packing!" James says rushing around with just jeans on trying to shove stuff in his trunk.
"Honestly boys" The girl replies putting her trunk on her bed and pulling out her wand muttering a quick spell and the draws open and her clothes neatly fold into her case.
"Oh yeah, magic!" Says Peter slightly relieved that he doesn't have to fold everything neatly and put it in his case one by one.
On there way down for breakfast the boys chat happily about going home for the holidays while Edith just nods along pretending to be happy, her poker face on. They all feast on the food before heading back to their room to change into muggle clothes. For the train journey home.

Edith sighs putting her hair in a messy bun and coming out of the bathroom where she was changing to check if the boys where ready. Sirius is wearing black jeans with holes in the knees as Remus wears a sweater and baggy jeans. James is wearing his quidditch jersey and dark blue jeans as peter is wearing jogging bottoms and a baggy t-shirt.
No one could deny that they were the popular group at Hogwarts, even though they kind of kept to themselves, people tried to join the group it would never work. It was always the five of them. The marauders.
"You okay Blue?" Sirius asks as they walk down to the train pulling their luggage behind them.
"Of course" The red head lies pulling on a fake smile.
"I was just wondering, you seemed a bit off." Sirius says smiling sweetly at the girl. The smile he only reserves for her.
"I am fine, don't worry about it Paddy." The girl says sighing underneath her breath. What she doesn't notice is the rest of the marauders sending each other worried glances, Edith wasn't usually one to be down, but yet here she was.
The group find an empty compartment on the train and start of a regular conversation, Edith would usually join in on. But she doesn't she just looks out of the window occasionally taking a sweet that is offered to her.
Before Edith wants to be they are back at the London platform, lugging their bags behind them as they step out to meet their families.
Edith sighs as she sees James run off to his parents and embrace them in a hug, she sees Peter's parents hug him and Remus's parents smile happily as he walks over.
"Are you sure your okay?" She hears from behind her she swing around.
"Oh, yeah, fine." She says attempting a smile at the raven haired boy.
"Where are your parents?" Sirius asks looking around hoping to catch someone who looks like her, waiting to pick her up.
"They didn't come." The girl says quietly.
"Oh, how are you getting home, I am sure the Potters wouldn't mind taking you." Sirius says secretly realizing he has never ever seen Edith with her parents.
"Its okay, I have..." She starts being interrupted.
"Master Edith!" A small house elf shouts as Edith gives it a small smile and embraces it lightly.
"Hello Star." Edith greets politely.
"Who might you be? Edith parents want her home, afraid you cannot come." Star says quickly like she has been rehearsing it.
"Its okay Star, this is Sirius." She says introducing the small house elf "And Sirius this is my house elf Star."
"Nice too meet you Sirius" Star says politely as he replies with a nod and a half smile.
"The Potters are waiting for you Paddy, I will see you in two moths three weeks and five hours, but who is counting?" Edith asks opening her arms for a hug. Sirius wraps his arms around her tightly savoring every moment. Edith hugs back just as tight as if she doesn't want to let go.
"We must get going master, Your parents will not like it if you are late." The house elf mutter and Edith pulls away sharply. Sirius narrows his eyes at the elf, he doesn't like the way that she phrased that.
"Well see you!" Edith says to Sirius smiling at him and waving at her other friends before gripping onto the house elf as they apperate.
They land Infront of the Wheeler mansion and enter. Hearing a sharp "Your late!" Edith sighs knowing that it is going to be a long summer.
