I was at home looking for some weapons we could use to kill this creature.

I remembered that my dad kept guns in his room so I went to my parent's bedroom to try and find them. My dad didn't want me to find his guns so he kept them hidden.  Ironic how he taught me how to shoot them but never actually wanted me to have one.

After about half an hour of looking, I finally found one shotgun.

I decided that one shotgun wasn't enough so I decided to take an axe that was in my backyard as well.

I was about to leave when I heard someone calling for me.

"Y/n, sweetie where are you going?" It was my mom. I forgot that she didn't have work today.

"Oh, I'm just going to hang out with Nancy. I'll be home late so don't worry about me." My mom nodded and kissed me on the cheek. We said goodbye and I headed to the place where Nancy and Jonathan said to meet.

When I got to the place Jonathan and Nancy were already there. I looked at what they were doing and I saw that Jonathan was preparing to shoot.

He finally fired a gun but missed all of the cans.

"You're doing great Jonathan!" I said sarcastically. Both of them turned around to look at me. I waved at them and they waved back. "I could teach you guys how to shoot," I suggested as I walked over to them.

"You know how to shoot?" Jonathan asked me.

"My dad's a cop Jonathan, I will let you figure out that on your own," I smirked at him and took the gun from his hand.  I aimed at the beer can in the middle. I fired the gun and I shot at it. The can fell on the ground and I jumped happily. Nancy started to clap and I bowed jokingly.

After the training, we decided to head into the woods and start our plan.

I was walking behind Jonathan and Nancy. They were talking about something but I didn't want to interrupt them.

"This is such bullshit." I heard Nancy say. They both stopped and Nancy turned around to face Jonathan. I decided that it was best if I don't interrupt. "I am not trying to be someone else. Just because I'm dating Steve and you don't like him--"

"You know what? Forget it. I just thought it was a good picture." As he said that Jonathan started to walk faster. Nancy started to walk as well and soon enough I followed them.

"He's actually a good guy. Ask Y/n." Nancy said.

I sighed. "Please don't involve me in your fight." I really did not want to get involved with their drama.

It got dark and we were nowhere close to finding this thing. We were still walking through the woods when Nancy suddenly stopped. I asked her if she was tired and she just shushed me.

"I heard something," Nancy said. We all got quiet. I listened carefully and then I heard it. I heard the whimpering.

We slowly started to walk closer to the sound. As we got closer we could see that the sound was coming from a deer. The deer was laying on the ground, covered in blood and barely moving, whimpering in pain. We crouched next to it.

I turned my head to the trees, not wanting to look at the hurt deer. It really hurt my heart to see an animal struggling.

"We can't just leave it," Nancy said as she looked at me and Jonathan.

"I'll do it." Jonathan offered.

"But I thought you said--"

"I'm not nine anymore." Nancy and Jonathan looked at each other. They both stood up at the same time.

Jonathan was now pointing the gun at the deer. As he was about to shoot it, something dragged the deer into the bushes. The three of us jumped back with a yelp.

"What was that?" I whispered. Still shaking in fear.

We started to follow the bloody trail until it disappeared.

"Where did it go?" Nancy asked.

"I don't know," Jonathan answered her. He raised his gun and I raised my axe just in case. "Do you see any more blood?"

I looked around. "No."

We split up and continued searching the area. I noticed that one of the trees had a hole in it. I crouched down to have a better look and saw that the hole was covered in some kind of slime.

I turned around to call for Nancy and Jonathan but they were gone. I looked at the hole again and decided that I was gonna go into it.

I took off my backpack and I left it near the hole.

I took a deep breath and went inside. In my right hand was my flashlight and in my left hand was my axe. I slowly crawled through the hole, gagging at the smell of it. When I finally got through it I looked around.

I was in woods that looked exactly like the one I was in just a second ago, the only difference was that it was covered in some kind of vines and it looked darker.

I was covered in the slime from the hole and I smelled awful. I looked down at my flashlight which started to flicker. I smacked the flashlight couple of times and it started to work normally again.

Even though I was scared I decided to look around. I heard something chewing and I decided to look at what was making that noise.

I followed the sound and when I got closer to it, my eyes widened. In front of me stood the same creature that was in the photo. It was eating the deer from before so it didn't seem to notice me.

I covered my mouth with my hand and I slowly started to walk backward, not wanting to make any noise.

I didn't seem to notice the branch behind me and I accidentally stepped on it. The branch made a crunchy noise and the creature heard that. It turned around and roared at me. I dropped my flashlight and I started to run, screaming for help.
