We spent the night stuck in the elevator. Steve and I were the only ones who couldn't fall asleep so we stayed up, trying to figure out how to get away from here. We eventually gave up on trying to find a way to escape so we just ended up talking about the random things we did when we were younger.

It was the next day now. Dustin was on top of the elevator, trying to contact someone with his walkie-talkie. Steve was with him and the rest of us stayed back.

I was pushing the buttons again, hoping that maybe this time they will work when I smelled something bad. I looked at the wall only to see what seemed like a leak. "Can you redirect your stream, please?" I called up in disgust as Steve (I assume) redirected his stream.

A loud banging could be heard coming from behind me. I turned around only to see Erica banging the green thing against the counter. "Erica! Hey, hey!" I rushed over to her, grabbing the green tube from her hands. "Be careful, we don't know what it is."

"Exactly. It could be useful." Erica answered.

"Useful how?" Robin who had gotten up from her seat asked.

"We can survive down here a long time without food, but if the human body doesn't get water it will die."

"This is not water," I said, waving the tube around.

"No, but it's liquid, and if it comes down to me drinking that shit or dying of thirst, I drink." Erica smiled at me as she tried to grab the tube from my hand.

"Ah-ah-ah." I waved the finger in front of her face as she did to me in Scoops Ahoy. "You're not getting this back."

Erica scoffed as Robin leaned her ear against the wall.

"We've got company," Robin said, climbing the elevator.

I climbed up to others, holding my hand down the elevator for Erica to take. She grabbed my hand and I quickly pulled her up.

Soon enough the Russians opened the door. They were having a conversation in Russian, so we couldn't understand a word they were saying.

Steve looked at us before putting a finger over his lips, signaling us to stay quiet. His eyes stayed on me as he grabbed the green thing from my hands.

The doors began to close but Steve quickly jumped down, placing the tube under it so we would have space to crawl out.

Erica was the first one to get out, then Dustin, then Robin, and then me. Steve began to crawl and the tube began to break.

"Come on, Steve!" I ushered him to hurry up.

As Steve got out, the tube fully broke. A green liquid burst out of it, sizzling as it burned through the floor.

"Jesus Christ," Steve said.

"You still wanna drink that?" I asked Erica.

"Holy mother of God," Dustin said, causing us to turn around.

We looked down at the corridor that looked like it didn't have an end.

"Well...hope you guys are in good shape. Looking at you, roast beef." Steve said as he smacked Dustin's chest. "Let's go, come on." Steve rushed us as he began to walk, us following behind him.

"Why me?" Dustin asked, looking at me.

"I mean, you have to admit, as a feat of engineering alone, this is impressive." Dustin complimented as we walked through the never-ending corridor.

"What are you talking about?" Steve asked. "It's a total fire hazard. There's no stairs, there's no exit, there's just an elevator that drops you halfway to hell."
