My dad let me out of his office. I scanned the room until I saw Jonathan and Nancy sitting on a chair. Jonathan was holding the ice pack in his hand while Nancy was comforting him.

They noticed me standing outside of the office and I decided to walk over to them. "How are you holding?" Before Jonathan could answer my question his mom and chief Hopper walked in.

"Hey. Jonathan? Jesus..., what...what happened?" Mrs. Byers pointed at his hands that were cuffed.

"I'm fine," Jonathan answered quietly.

My dad walked out of his office to see what was happening. Mrs. Byers noticed him. "Why is he wearing handcuffs?" She asked me.

Before answering, dad looked at Jonathan and then back at his mom. "Well, your boy assaulted a police officer. That's why."

"Take them off." She ordered.

"I'm afraid I cannot do that."

"Take them off!" She ordered more angrily than the first time.

"You heard her. Take 'em off." Chief Hopper jumped in.

The other officer that was with my dad when they found us decided to answer. "Chief, I get everyone's emotional here, but there's something you need to see." The three officers now went outside.

We waited for them patiently. Hopper was the first one to walk in. I looked at the box he was holding and saw that it was our box with hunting equipment in it. Great, how am I going to explain this to my dad?

Hopper set the box on the table. "What is this?" Mrs. Byers asked before leaning closer to take a better look.

My dad was next to Hopper looking at me like he was going to kill me. I looked at the ground not wanting to look my dad in the eyes. "Why don't you ask your son? We found it in his car." Dad said as he looked at Jonathan.

"Why are you going through my car?" Jonathan asked, leaning forward.

Hopper leaned forward as well before answering him. "Is that really the question you should be asking right now?" He said seriously. "I wanna see you in my office."

"You won't believe me," Jonathan said as he crossed his arms.

Hopper leaned forward one more time before answering in a soft but intimidating voice. "Why don't you give me a try?"

We were sitting in Hopper's office now, explaining everything to Mrs. Byers, Hopper, and my dad.

Hopper was holding the photo of this thing that we were trying to hunt. "You say blood draws this thing?" Hopper asked while looking at us.

"We don't know," I answer back.

"It's just a theory," Nancy added while looking at the floor.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" Dad asked me.

"I, I don't know. I thought you wouldn't believe me." I sigh before looking at my feet. Dad stayed quiet. "I'm sorry dad."

"Sorry!? What if this thing took you as well? I mean do you understand how desperate your mom and I would be, not knowing that this, this thing took you?" Dad yelled at me. I stay quiet, trying not to cry.

My dad sighed before getting closer to me. He pulled me in for a hug and I hugged him back. I let my tears fall as he shushed me.

We both jumped when someone opened the door from the chief's office. I wiped my tears before looking at the person that opened the door. It was Hopper.
