I handed the two customers their orders. "Have a nice day." I smiled as they took the ice cream from my hands.

They thanked me before turning around to leave, revealing the familiar boy that stood behind them. "Hi, so I would like-"

"Dustin!" I jumped in excitement before running to him, hugging him as hard as I could. Dustin was in some summer camp so I hadn't seen him for months. "It's so nice to see you again."

"It's nice to see you as well." Dustin chuckled as he hugged me back.

"Henderson." I heard Steve. "Henderson! He's back!" Steve jumped and I laughed at his reaction.

"I'm back! You guys got the job!" Dustin shouted in excitement.

"We got the job!" Steve imitated a trump as he walked over to Dustin. They did their handshake and I couldn't help but smile at how cute their interaction was.

"How many children are you friends with?" Robin asked looking at Steve and me.

Steve sighed as he rubbed his lips.

"I'm gonna make you a banana split," I said to Dustin who nodded in response. I went to make his ice cream as Steve sat with him at the table. After a few minutes, I walked over to them, placing the banana split on the table. "Enjoy." I sat next to Steve, smiling at Dustin who widened his eyes when he saw the ice cream that was placed in front of him.

"So do you really just get to eat as much of this as you want?" Dustin asked us.

"Yeah. I mean, sure." Steve nodded. "It's not really a good idea for me, though. I gotta keep in shape for the ladies."

"Yeah, and how's that working out for you?" Robin asked across the counter.

"Ignore her."

"She seems cool," Dustin said as he placed the spoon of ice cream in his mouth.

"She's not."

"She is." I defended.

Steve ignored my comment as he turned to speak to Dustin again. "So, where are the other knuckleheads?"

"They ditched me yesterday."

"No." Steve and I said in unison.

"My first day back. Can you believe that shit?"

"Whoa. Seriously?" Steve asked, leaning forward.

"I swear to God." Dustin placed the spoon in his mouth again. "Mm. They're gonna regret it, though, big time, when they don't get to share in my glory." He said with a full mouth.

I raised my eyebrow in confusion. "What glory?"

"So last night." Dustin moved closer to us. "We're trying to get in contact with Suzie..."

"Who's Suzie?" I asked, not knowing who he was talking about.

"Dustin's girlfriend," Steve answered.

"You have a girlfriend?" I asked Dustin, shocked at the fact that he had a girlfriend.

"Yeah, apparently she's hotter than Phoebe Cates," Steve answered again.

"That's not important right now." Dustin interrupted. "So, uh..." He looked around the shop before mumbling something under his chin.

"What?" Steve asked.

Dustin clicked his tongue before inhaling deeply. He mumbled something again, making Steve and I look at each other, confused.

"Just speak louder," Steve said.

"I intercepted a secret Russian communication!" Dustin said loudly, making the people in the shop look at us strangely.
