We looked at the machine in front of us. "The gate." Steve and I said in unison before looking at each other.
"I don't understand. You've seen this before?" Robin asked the two of us as we headed downstairs.
"Not exactly," Steve answered.
"All you need to know is it's bad," Dustin said.
"What you've seen this as well?" Robin asked looking at Dustin who hummed in response.
"I've been in there, twice, exactly. Is really bad." I said.
"Like, end-of-the-human-race-as-we-know-it kind of bad." Dustin snapped.
"And you know about this how?" Robin asked.
"Um, Steve?" Erica called, causing us to turn around. "Where's your Russian friend?" As if to answer her question the alarms turned on.
"Shit." Steve rushed to the door, opening them and looking to see what was happening on the other side. The guards looked in his direction, causing him to quickly close the door. "Shit." He looked at the stairs before running to them. "Go, go, go, go, go!"
I cursed before opening the doors. "Let's, go!" I rushed. I opened the other doors that lead to the machine. I stopped for a second to admire the gate that was in front of me before Steve grabbed my hand and rushed me downstairs.
The Russian guards came bursting through the doors. They kept on yelling something in Russian as they chased us.
We stopped right in front of the machine as Dustin began to curse.
"Guards!" Erica panicked.
"This way!" Steve shouted before running, us following behind him. He pushed the guard downstairs before hitting the barrels that were placed on top of each other. This caused the guards to slow down."Come on! Go, go, go, go, go!"
I ran to the first door that I saw. "This way!" I shouted before opening the door and letting others get in the room.
Steve was the last one to get in as he shut the door and hold them so the guards wouldn't be able to get in. "Y/n! Help me, come on!"
Steve didn't need to call my name twice as I immediately went by his side to hold the door with my whole strength. The guards were banging against the door, trying to get in.
"Here! Come on, let's go!" Erica yelled opening the doors on the floor.
"Come on!" Dustin rushed.
"Go! Just get out of here!" Steve yelled.
"Go, come on, now!" Dustin rushed again.
"No! Just go get some help, okay?" Steve demanded but Dustin stopped right in front of the door, not wanting to go in. "What are you doing?!"
"Go!" Steve and I yelled together.
"I won't forget you!" Dustin yelled, getting in.
"Me neither," Robin said as she went through the doors as well.
"Go!" Steve and I couldn't hold the doors any longer. The guards opened the doors roughly, causing us to fall down and slam onto the wall. They pointed their guns at us as they kept yelling in Russian. We held our hands in defeat, breathing heavily.
My heart was pounding like crazy as the guard grabbed me by my hand, making me stand up. I tried to get away but the guards held me so that I wouldn't escape.
"Hey, let go of her!" Steve demanded but the Russians grabbed him as well before dragging us into separate rooms.
The man pushed me on the chair before slapping me across the face. "Who do you work for?" The man's voice was deep sending shivers down my spine.
