As Leah moved to her bedroom door, she noticed it was now shut, causing a look of confusion to sprawl across her face. She raised her hand and formed a fist and knocked at her door to make sure she wasn't intruding on something she didn't want to.

"Niamh? Is everything alright?" She asked as she knocked gently.

No response.

"Niamh?" Leah queried once more, beginning to get worried

No response.

As Leah's worry began to increase, she muttered a quiet "fuck it" before entering her bedroom once more, only to find a sleeping Niamh sprawled across her bed.

Leah let out a sigh of relief and sat down on the bed and gently stroked Niamh's head, "You scared me, idiot."

Niamh laughed gently, now revealing she wasn't truly asleep, after all, "Hm hm."

"Why'd you shut the door?" Leah queried softly.

"Just didn't want anyone peering in and seeing a complete stranger in your bed, figured it to be best." Niamh replied, eyes still half shut, smiling contently at the feeling of Leah's hands in her hair. "You were long downstairs."

Leah chuckled, hands still tangled in Niamh's blonde locks, "Your mum's down there."

Niamh's eyes immediately widended and her head shot up, now level with Leah's as she took in what she'd just said, resting on her hands.

"What? Why? Oh my god I didn't message her or anything, she will have been dead worried, oh my god, no no no!" Niamh rambled, trying to get herself out of bed but a pounding headache stopped her.

"Woah woah woah, slow down Niamh. Everything's fine. Your mum knows what happened and she knew you were here last night." Leah calmly spoke, placing her hands on Niamh's upper arms, rubbing circles with her thumbs. "I brought you some of this" she said holding up the paracetamol, "Figured you might need it." She chuckled.

"You think?" Niamh laughed in response.

A silence stood between the two, yet this time, it was a comforting one. The pair simply found an element of calmness within one another's presence before Niamh spoke again, "Thanks though." Leah's face showed confusion, "For the paracetamol."

"Don't worry about it. As long as you're okay." Leah replied, shooting Niamh a genuine smile.

"I will be once I neck this." She answered, raising her glass of water in her hand, receiving a hearty laugh from Leah.

Once she'd taken her tablets, the pair sat with one another for a short while until Leah spoke, "You should go see your mum, really. I bet she wants to see your face, know that you're alive."

"Probably right."

"Always." Leah smirked, as Niamh got up and made her way downstairs, Leah following behind.

The sound of faint chatter could be heard as it grew louder and louder as the pair got closer toward the kitchen, where they found the source of the noise. They both exchanged a look of "Are we sure we want to do this?" before pushing the door open to reveal the two mothers in front of them, both sat with a coffee in their hands, chuckling at one another.
