The Euros were well and truly underway, with the Lionesses winning all of their games to date. Both the Yates and Williamsons had (obviously) been there to support Leah as she captained England to their victories over the past few weeks. Nothing brought any of them more joy than watching England play; more importantly, watching Leah captain them as they did so.

To Niamh, there was no better feeling than the pride she felt swarm her body as she witnessed Leah's talents, not only as a captain but, as a player also. Of course, she'd always followed football with her family, but there was something so surreal about being within the electric atmosphere of a football game, watching the love of her life do something she lived for.

It was the day before Northern Ireland v England in Southhampton, but the two families decided to stay the night previous and make a trip out of it. To nobody's surprise, it was Amanda and Lisa's idea; they never seemed to be short of ways to make trips into overnight stays. Little things like that made Niamh take a minute, stop and realise how lucky she was to be surrounded by the best people she could imagine.

Niamh lay on her front with her head rested on her hand, her grey Iphone in her other, with the face of Leah Williamson plastered on the screen.

"I can't wait to see you tomorrow." Niamh said with a grin on her face, watching as her girlfriend lay with her arm rested behind her head.

"Same here." She said with a yawn, making Niamh giggle.

"Long day?"

"Just tiring, you know. It's expected but, some days it knocks you more than others." Leah started, staring at Niamh through her phone before she shook her head, "Anyway, enough of me, what you been up to?"

Niamh rolled her eyes playfully but she knew not to pester Leah about her training, "Not much, work was okay. Had this weird customer though." She finished with a shudder.

"Yeah?" Leah encouraged the girl to go on.

"He was just really weird, creepy weird, I mean. He knew who I was and, like, my family but I didn't have a fuck who he was." Niamh finished with a laugh but Leah's face curled up in a mix of worry and confusion.

"You sure you didn't know him?" Leah asked in a concern manner.

"I mean, I probably did but just didn't recognise him, I'm shit with faces." Niamh spoke reassuringly.

Leah rolled her eyes playfully, "Tell me about it."

The pair laughed until a silence of comfort hung between them until Leah's alarm sounded, signalling for her to go to sleep.

Niamh scrunched her face up, "Who's calling you?"

"It's my alarm. You know, I try to be in bed for a reasonable time for match day." Leah spoke, yawning as she did so.

"Yeah, I remember now." Niamh started, mimicking the yawn Leah just did, "Get some sleep, Lee. Goodnight. I love you."

She blew a kiss to the screen before Leah ended their conversation, "I love you more. Sleep well."

Beep Beep Beep.

The two disappeared from their screens as Leah was soon asleep, preparing herself for the match the next day. Niamh rested herself for a little while, thinking of Leah, until her eyes fluttered shut and she, too, was in a deep slumber.
