As the sound of distant music blared gently on the streets of Sheffield, Niamh felt Leah's hand holding hers tightly as the two walked along a path, lit with dim lights. The sky above was magically painted with stars that shone for miles, as the warm summer air danced around them. Niamh inhaled the humidity deeply as she the feeling of Leah's grip tightened around her hand as the pair walked slowly through the beginning of the nightlife.

"If I haven't said it enough, I'm so proud of you." Niamh spoke, placing her head on Leah's shoulder as the pair continued their stroll.

The team decided they didn't need a huge celebration after the game as they felt they'd been out too much over the past week and had the final on their minds, also. They'd put so much into this tournament that they couldn't waste their dreams over a boozy night out. The majority had gone back to camp to get some rest, but Leah needed to see Niamh and her family, where they all gathered at a local restaurant for a meal.

As usual, everyone attended the game to support Leah and were staying over in a local hotel on that evening, meaning Leah and Niamh had as much time as they needed.

"Nah, you've barely said anything." Leah deadpanned, sarcastically.

Niamh giggled and turned to look at Leah with a playful shocked look upon her face, "I won't say anything next time."

Leah laughed and wrapped an arm around her girlfriend lovingly and inhaled her scent, "Thank you."

Niamh turned again, this time, with a questioning look on her face, "What for?"

"Everything." Leah said, looking into the distance.

Niamh furrowed her brows with a tight lipped smile before replying, "Always."

"I mean it, Niamh. I would never have thought I would have someone stand by my side like you do. Whenever I look into the stands, you're always there lighting up the crowd with your smile. I don't know what I'd do without you being there, and I will be forever grateful for you." Leah began, stroking Niamh's hand with her thumb.

"Aw, Lee, you don't have to-" Niamh started.

"No, I do. I'm the luckiest girl in the entire world and I rarely say it but I'm so fucking lucky, Niamh." Leah paused,

"And I'm gonna love you until the world stops spinning."

Niamh was in awe of Leah. She knew how strong of a bond they had but, hearing Leah say it was a whole new feeling for Niamh.

The two stopped walking and turned to face one another, as Leah placed her hands on Niamh's face and kissed her gently.

"I love you to the stars and back." Leah said, gazing up at the decorated night sky above them.

Niamh mimicked her actions and tilted her head upwards and let out a breathy laugh to herself, "I like the reference."

"I mean it. I love you. Right up to those stars in this very sky, and right back down to us stood here, right now. And I'm forever thanking those stars that I have you."

Niamh leaned up and placed her plump limps onto Leah's glossy ones in a passionate and loving kiss. Leah's hands found Niamh's and they smiled into their kiss.

"Since when do you make such wedding like speeches, eh?" Niamh joked.

"Don't worry, my speech at our wedding will be even better." Leah winked, but Niamh was taken aback.

"Our wedding?" Niamh asked, still gripping to Leah's hands.

"I'm marrying you someday, Niamh Yates. That's a promise." Leah said definitively, stroking Niamh's face.

"Good." Niamh whispered.

"Good." Leah repeated.
