Niamh had a permanent smile on her face since that day; all she could think of was Leah, Leah, Leah.

And, not to mention the fact she was her girlfriend.

Niamh Yates was Leah Williamson's girlfriend. No bloody bullshit.

"Niamh Yates. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Niamh was stunned. Speechless, even. She couldn't fathom the question Leah had just asked her and all she could do was stand in shock, so much so that Leah took notice, "Shit. Did I say the wrong thing?" She said, looking into Niamh's wide eyes.

Niamh finally had a reality and check and scrambled out, "Wha- no no no! You definitely said the right thing." She said grinning.

Leah mimicked her smile and tilted her head to one side, "So?"

"A thousand times yes." Niamh whispered before leaning in and placing a passionate kiss on Leah's lips in which settled her nerves entirely. Leah broke away with a breathy laugh, hands still on Niamh's waist,

"Should probably go back down, you know. They could be wondering we're up to all sorts up here."

Niamh laughed in response and took Leah's hand once more, "Whatever you say," She paused,

"Girlfriend."

After months of waiting around for a free date in the calender, the Yates and Williamson's were finally getting their big night out; on New Year's Eve, with everyone there. Niamh and Leah had basically sorted the entire thing and decided to pay to hire a room out in a local bar so that everyone would fit comfortably.

After planning it for so long, the pair had their outfits pre-planned, mainly to eliminate any time wasting spent choosing outfits on the day. Niamh had decided on a green, ruched, bodycon dress that hugged her features tightly, right down to her knees. Leah had chosen a black, low neck top, with a fastened black blazer over it which had a slight feathery green sleeve on each arm. The two had exchanged messages earlier on in the week to coordinate their ourfits with one another, and it gave Niamh an excuse to buy a new dress, also.

As the evening loomed among Newport Pagnell, the two family households, both, had a chaotic atmosphere hung upon them as outfit choices couldn't be made, makeup wasn't going right, hair wasn't gelling and everything inbetween. However, much to everyone's surprise, Niamh and Leah were the only calm ones in the two houses- possibly because they had both been ready for the last half an hour and spent the last 20 minutes taking pictures of themselves.

As Niamh checked the time on her rose gold watch, she shouted throughout the house and made her way downstairs, trying not to trip in her lace-up white heels, "Is everyone nearly ready? We need to be going!"

She was responded with echoes of voices which, in all honesty, turned into one big blur so she had absolutely no idea what any of her family members had said. As she stood in the hallway of her family house, she scrolled through the photos and decided none of them were Instagram worthy, all apart from one she had taken earlier on that day.
