7 days had passed since the final of the Arnold Clark Cup, and Leah had spent the last week at home with her family by her side. Just as usual, the couple had been inseparable and hadn't left one another's sides over the course of Leah's return. Their relationship only continued to grow day by day, and the pair fell more and more in love with each other.

It was a briefly cold spring day, the sun beamed its rays down onto the dewy grass where Bella ran through, coating her golden fur in a sheet of rain drops. Leah and Niamh trailed behind hand in hand, Bella's lead hanging loosely from Leah's free one, whilst Niamh cosied hers into her coat pocket. The two strolled along, simply taking in their scenic surroundings and feeling one another's warmth in their icy hands.

Inhaling the frosty air deeply, Niamh broke the comforting quiet that hung over them, the sound of birds singing softly in the distance, "What have you got planned for your birthday this year?"

The thought sprung Niamh's mind randomly in that moment, however, she'd been pondering on ideas for Leah's 25th birthday for weeks. In her heart, she wanted to surprise her but, Leah being Leah, she'd already have something planned, so when she turned to face Niamh and reply, surprise ran through her brain,

"Nothing as of yet. I don't know whether to do anything this year, everyone's so busy and it will be a right pain getting people together so late on."

Niamh shook her head and laughed at Leah, "You do realise it's 4 weeks away? How can people already have shit planned?"

Leah shrugged her shoulders and shook her head in disbelief also, "Famous people have lives, Niamh. Just because you're not one of em." She joked.

Niamh pulled a sarcastic shocked expression but giggled along with Leah before she continued, "Besides, as much as I love having big parties, I love spending time with you lot more."

As she finished, she stroked Niamh's hand who kept her gaze locked on Leah as she talked. They continued to walk as Niamh placed her head on Leah's shoulder and arm on her bicep as they neared the Williamson house.

"You're alright to spend time with too." Niamh whispered, head still resting on Leah's shoulder and her eyes still locked foward.

Leah and Niamh had that relationship where they could joke with one another; they didn't need to say 'I love you' fifteen times a day, they knew how they felt about each other and that was their way of expressing it. The way Niamh felt of Leah was incomparable to any other; she opened her eyes to the feeling of love like she'd never felt before.

The memory of Matthew Lowery seemed forever ago; Leah had practically erased him from Niamh's memory, something in which she would be eternally grateful for. Of course, there were always small doubts deep within Niamh, but nothing that Leah couldn't comfort. However, there was no bigger doubt nor traumatic memory for Niamh, until she saw an extremely familiar face in front of the Williamson's drive.

Niamh's breath hitched in her throat and her body froze still as Leah mirrored her actions in an act of concern, "Niamh? You okay?"

Niamh's eyes widended and her body tensed as she realised who was standing there. As if she had been frozen, she stood and peered fearfully upon him.

Leah's head cocked to Niamh's fixation and confusion plastered on her face when she, too, saw the boy stood in front of her drive, now facing the two.
