molineux stadium, wolverhamptonIt was the morning of the final within the Arnold Clark Cup, and Niamh had been up fairly early to get herself ready for the long, but exciting, day she had ahead. After watching Leah play in all of her games within the Cup, Niamh only became more and more excited before a game. She felt pure pride and joy when watching her girlfriend play; it was a feeling like no other, but was so incredibly thrilling.
Leah had been down at training camp and accommodation for the last 10 days, meaning she'd been away from her family but saw them at games frequently. Niamh had missed Leah. Leah had missed Niamh. A lot. It was undeniable: their moods altered whenever one another weren't around and became more noticeable when the two seperated.

10 days ago"I'm gonna miss you." Niamh sighed wearily, as Leah stood in the doorway with her bags ready to leave for camp.
"Me too, but it's only 10 days. We'll be fine, and I'll see you after games and stuff remember." Leah spoke comfortingly, still mirroring her girlfriend's sad tone, in an attempt to reassure her.
Leah pulled Niamh in to a tight hug and held her there for what felt like a second but were interrupted by Leah's alarm sounding, signaling she needed to go.
They pulled away with a sigh before placing their lips on one another's, expressing all the words they wanted to say.
"I love you." Leah whispered, her hand resting on Niamh's cheek.
"To the stars and back." Niamh finished, "Call me everyday." She smiled.
"Promise." Leah said, holding her pinky out to Niamh as she took it tightly before Leah closed the door on her way out.

Niamh, Hattie, Theo and Jacob were all occupants of Niamh's small Vaxhaull Adam on their way to the stadium in Wolverhampton. Lisa, Mick, David and Amanda were all sat in David's car, trailing in front of Niamh.
They were all wearing England shirts, Niamh's with Leah's name and number on the back and paired with Leah's blue jeans and Jordans.
"This music is dead, fuck me." Theo spoke as he leant over to unplug Hattie's phone from the aux and put his music on instead before a hand slapped him away.
"Oi, my phone's there, dickhead. Don't even think about moving it" Said Hattie as she shotgunned the front seat, leaving Jacob and Theo in the back.
"Stop being kids for five fucking minutes and let me drive." Niamh spoke sternly, eyes still glued to the road as Jacob chuckled at her comment.
Theo huffed in annoyance as he leant back on his chair and looked out of the window moodily which caused Jacob to laugh again.
Theo and Jacob mainly spent the time on their phones, whilst Niamh and Hattie were engaged in conversation nearly the entire way. Similarly, there were many typical parent conversations within David's car which were sure to keep them entertained throughout.
As they neared the stadium, Jacob broke the silence which was drowned out by Hattie's playlist, "Niamh? Or Hattie for that matter," He began, causing heads to prop up, "How'd you know you liked girls?"
