Niamh had been left in charge to close up the café after a quiet Friday as Lisa and Mick had a scheduled meeting with Theo's coaches at Arsenal. The day had been a slow one for Niamh, partially due to her pure boredom when there were no customers to serve but also due to missing Leah; she couldn't believe she missed someone so much whom she'd only known 14 days.
She took up nearly all of Niamh's mind, nearly every single second of nearly every single day. Leah made her feel things that Niamh thought not to belive in anymore, so much so that she found herself loving the fact she had fallen for her. She would do everything and anything for her without a second thought, not having to think twice and Niamh knew that she'd fallen madly for Leah Williamson. She tried so desperately to figure out how a person could affect her the way Leah has done but, no matter how hard she thought, she could never, and will never, find an answer. Niamh knew that she'd burn for Leah Williamson, without regret, for the rest of her life.
As she cleared the last few dishes from the countertop, and placed all the clean washing up back to their places within the shop, she heard her phone vibrate in her apron pocket. Pulling it out, a grin spread on her face and her heart skipped a beat.

Niamh had wanted nothing more than to watch Leah's first World Cup Qualifier against North Macedonia in person but she simply couldn't get herself there and sort accommodation in time. As well as this, Mick and Lisa really needed their daughter today to cover their shifts and she wouldn't have made it back in time if she had travelled to St Mary's Stadium to watch.
Her heart ached knowing she couldn't be there cheering Leah on but they both knew they we're thinking of one another, even so far apart. The Yates' had gathered in their living room last night to watch the game and Niamh's heart burst of pride as she watched Leah captain the team to their first victory. She'd never felt a feeling like it. Ever. But, boy, was it exhilarating.

Niamh paused after no response from Leah but decided to place her phone on the counter and continue the last few bits of tidying up the café before she could leave and go home. 5 minutes passed before Niamh checked her phone again for a response: Nothing.

What on earth? Niamh thought to herself and plastered a confused expression on her face but shook it off before grabbing her keys and closing the shutters. It was only until she twisted the key for them to shut that she noticed a face in the window. A face Niamh knew very well.
Her jaw dropped open before she dropped her keys and ran to open the door to welcome Leah inside. However, with excitement and adrenaline running through her veins, she simply opened the door and jumped up onto Leah, wrapping her arms around her neck and her legs around her waist. Leah moved her arms beneath Niamh's thighs, holding her up with an effortless strength.
