Adrian Winters
I had just gone on a three day drive out to Waccabuc and I honestly couldn't care less because that meant I got to be in peace for a few days without being bothered by anyone or anything.
Now I was driving back through New York at quarter past midnight in my Portofino heading to my penthouse where I'd given permission to the boys to stay the night for school the following day.
For note I'd done the work I was done the first day it was given to me so I guess there is that.
Getting to Midtown I spotted One57 and the small amount of foot traffic around the city this late at night, though I did see the line up of BMW's along the one curb something my Manhattan crew drove so at least I knew they were doing their work at this time of night.
I also told them to be subtle with their purchases.
Getting to my penthouse tower I pulled into the garage to find my garage still fully untouched and my Bugatti in its place still as I had driven it here and took a separate vehicle to go to my lake house.
A Ferrari is a lot more subtle then a four and a half million-dollar Bugatti.
Part of me also liked the prestige my car collection had. There was history in it, and very much like my favourite brands many of them had existed as long as my family had.
Getting out of my car I locked the car and walked off towards the elevator before pressing the button and letting out a sigh as I waited for the car to get down to the level I was on.
I hated waiting for things but I couldn't make technology like the elevator box moving down to the basement level of the tower go any faster.
When it opened a minute later, I stepped inside and pressed the top floor button before the doors closed and it began to carry me up to my penthouse.
The door opened and I stepped into my top floor apartment to hear music playing from the living room, the boys were throwing pillows at one another and Nico was on the farthest couch reading a book.
"What the fuck do you two think you're doing with those," I say stopping to stare at the idiots.
"Hi Adrian," Riley says before a pillow smokes him in the back of the head so hard I was kind of surprised his head still remained attached.
"Hi Niles, Ambrose if you hit him again, I will literally tie you up in a corner where you won't be able to do anything but breath," I stonily say.
"Damn someone isn't having a good day," Hunter says.
"I woke up to about a dozen messages from Sav and I wanted just a few days of no one bothering me," I mutter walking into the kitchen and taking down a glass and opening the liquor cabinet before taking down a bottle of whisky.
"Adrian put it back in the cabinet," Nico says flatly and I look at him as he walked over to me and took the bottle while staring straight at me and despite the minor height difference, I stared back at him before letting him take it and put it back up in the cabinet.
"I'm going to go have a shower please none of you do anything stupid," I say hoping that the hot water would bring me clarity so I don't fall back into that habit. Drinking wasn't something I was far away from not far enough I only stopped a few months ago and I couldn't fall back into that pattern.
Getting upstairs I walked into my room and stripped before walking into the bathroom and stepping into the black tiled shower to allow water to turn into steam and coat the walls and the curtain in a thin layer of precipitation.
