When lunch finally came around, I walked out of the secret room and through the library before I saw all my friends walk into the room beneath me talking amongst themselves, Riley halfway dancing in place to his music while Nico looked prepared to lose it.

Might be worth waiting for it.

Watching their progress I followed the group until they reached a long oak table.

"What are you looking for Riley?" the chestnut-haired girl I recognized as Ava Windsor asks looking at him as Riley dropped a textbook onto one of the wooden tables.

"His sanity most likely," Hunter says making his appearance with messy hair and sunglasses covering his eyes from behind a nearby shelf with a kinetics textbook under his arm.

"Hunter, are you drunk, or just waking up?" Ava asks with a laugh.

"No just his post nut clarity is hitting him like a fucking semi truck," I remark leaning on the railing, drawing their attention up to me.

"When the hell did you get here?" Hunter asks staring at me bewildered.

"While you were busy making out with one of the girl's volleyball team members," Nico says walking over to the table where Riley was looking through a textbook.

"Jealous Harrington," Hunter smirks and Nico just gives him a vexing look.

"In your dreams," Nico replies while I use the stairs in the library to get down to the main floor and walk over to them all.

"Seriously though what are you looking for Niles?"

"The difference between afferent and efferent in the human body?" he asks looking back from the shelf he was standing next to.

"You'll find that in the circulatory, urinary, and nervous system in an anatomy textbook, not a dictionary," I say snatching the large book from Riley and handing him one of the anatomy books in the library.

"This textbook weighs like a million pounds," Riley groans setting it down on the table.

"Page five sixty-three, start there," Nico sighs leaning on the table.

Riley then pulls open the book and finds the page Nico had nonchalantly said to be faced with descriptions for what he was looking for.

" How the fuck did you know that all this was here," Riley muses looking between me and Nico.

"Doctor's son, and Nico used the same book I did when studying," I say right as Sav walks into the room and glided over to us using her almost ridiculously long legs to do so.

"Hi boys," she greets settling next to me with surprising amount of grace.

"Sav," they all greet.

"Hello Savannah," I say and she bumps into me purposefully.

"What was that for?" I puzzle casting her a glance.

She then gestures to the door and I just raise my eyebrows before walking off knowing what she was asking.

"Where are you two going?" Hunter calls after us the smile he wore showing in his tone, and making me want to punch him for his implication.

"None of your business," I replied flatly and disappear out the doors to make my way to the parking lot.

Sav then catches up to me and paces my steps as we made it to my Brabus before sliding inside.

"Where are we going?" she asks fastening her seatbelt.

"I was thinking we just go for a drive out to Orchard Beach," I say looking over at her as I started the vehicle, "besides beach side walk."

"What have you done with Adrian Winters, he's never this relaxed," Sav smirks from the passenger seat, whioe I scrolled through my music to find something I wanted to listen to.
