At the end of the day, I pulled on my jacket and snapped the book I held shut, I had finished my English for the day which was mostly because I kept getting the assignment plans and finished a large portion of it. This was one of the few things I disliked about school I was bored half the time, so I asked for later assignments and now in a single month when left with an hour to do work I completed a weeks worth of school, it was October for Christ sake, and I had done, almost all the coursework.
I was like this at Rosenburg too, I would finish all the work for that day in fifteen minutes if I was taking my time, most times it was less then that, and I continually found myself in the library looking for a way to escape my world through literature. Now I had a room where only a handful of other people could actually find me.
Pushing the door for the secret room open I stepped out before gently kicking it shut, and walked out of the library without anyone who was occupying the level below, at the dozen or so table noticing me.
I also could walk at the speed of most people jogging, and completely silently.
When I got out of Thornbrook, I found Hunter flirting with one of the popular girls at our school, while Riley stood talking to Ava Windsor with a mild smile on his face as if having to control himself. The two of them had been close for around the past year, and it was nice to see them getting closer.
As weird as it might sound, I consistently wished for my friends to find happiness and allow themselves to associate with those that they wanted to, but that was the thing billionaire heir's were a tight knit community there were very few and we all sort of just did our thing without worrying about other people.
Why the fuck should we.
Nico stood leaning against his car on his phone headphones in, and ignoring everyone and everything around him.
Same Nico.
Getting to my car I unlocked it, and turned to see Sav carrying her designer drawstring bag with her coming towards my car, her head high as she neared me.
"Adrian, would you mind driving me home, my mom can't today, she and my dad went out of state on a business trip," she says reaching me, and pushing some of her hair off of her face.
"Okay," I submit glancing to the boys who were still occupying themselves, and knowing I wouldn't just leave Sav to drive herself before watching her gleefully get into the car while people watched then swiftly looked away upon meeting my scornful glare.
Fucking ridiculous, don't you people have better shit to do?
Sliding into my car I started the engine and drove North towards Rye which was the area that Sav lived when she wasn't in the city. In a way I realized the parallels between me and Sav in the sense of where we lived both on the end on a plateau majoritively alone.
As I pulled down her road to the large steel gates I slowed and stopped to let Sav open the gate to her house.
"I'm having a party tonight you and the boys should come it'll be fun," Sav says sliding out of the passenger door, and turning to lean down to stare at me.
"I'll think about it," I reply watching a gust of wind dislodge her hair, "now go inside."
Sav then turned and walked away to the front door of the European style mansion she and her family lived in. When she stepped inside, I then turned around and sped away back towards the Hamptons where I knew that the boys will have already gone.
An hour and a half later I pulled into the driveway of my house and parked in the driveway where various other vehicles sat parked in two neat lines.
I was actually kind of surprised no one was here but at the same time they very well may have gone elsewhere knowing I'd be a bit.
