The twelfth supernova: Leah

Chapter 18

The morning after the king's fall and execution Leah groggily with a sevear headache. 'I drank too much of the king's sake.' She thought rubbing her forehead.

She felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked up to see William with bandages covering his face with a glass of water in his hand. "Thanks." She said looking around.

She found Truffle and Atlanta laying down cuddling each other with Truffle on top. Leah grins taking a sip of water. "I see that you had a great night last night." Hon said walking towards the pirate captain.

"The booze was great." She said smiling rubbing her head. "Still not feeling great."

Hon was about to tell the captain something but stopped upon seeing a news coo flying down towards them. They pulled out 100 belle coin and paid for a newspaper. The doctor started reading the newspaper. "Well, the news of the King's death reached the world." They said.

"Are we mentioned?" Leah asked.

"Not yet, but by tomorrow we will probably receive our bounties on our heads."

Navy Headquarters 5 PM

A meeting of various military officers seated as Commodore Brannew spoke. "As you all have heard he nation of Manil has fallen and the base there has also been decimated."

"We believe the catalyst for all of this are five pirates."

A board with Wanted posters of Leah, Atlanta, William, Truffle, and Hon on it. He used a pointer to point at a picture of Leah gulping down a bottle of sake smiling widely. "Intelligence indicates that she is the leader of the crew." He said.

"Sill a 70 million Belle bounty is awfully high." One of the officers said in disbelief.

"That maybe, but she and her crew were able to take down an entire military in a night, and so a 70 million Belle bounty is appropriate."

"Agreed." The officers said.

"Now what about the crew?" An officer asked.

"The first one Atlanta Martella is being given a 30 million Belle bounty being the first mate and the one responsible for the defeats of two of Duteurte's royal guards as well as her history as a bounty hunter, Charlotte Truffle a 25 million Belle bounty..."

"Charlotte as in..." One started to say.

"Our intelligence is still verifying the data." Brannew said moving the meeting along. "Next we have Dr. Honoria Salamanca who has been participation in subversive activities she is being given a 10 million Belle bounty and finally William Jones."

A picture of William's face covered in bandages. "He will be given a 5 million Belle bounty for his small role in the incident."

The next day

On an island in the New World called Whole Cake Island two servants of Charlotte Linin read the newspaper and the new Wanted posters and paled. "We have to tell her." One said.

"No, we don't."

"Yes, we do, Big Mom has people hunting her, so yes we have to tell her."

"What are you two talking about?"

They looked up to see a tall muscular man stand at 16ft 8in. His cowboy boots clanking on the floor, his black pants and black vest exposing his abbs and muscular arms. A scarf covering his mouth. "Commander Katakuri!" They said standing up straight. "We were talking about the news."
