It had been nearly two months since my heat and my bump was already beginning to show. I could definitely tell the pregnancy not only was effecting myself and Elijah, it was effecting our pack as well. We had told Lucas and Clarissa we were expecting but they and everyone else in the pack had already suspected it.

The regional pack meeting was set for tomorrow and despite my vigorous work in learning how to be a good Luna for my pack, I still couldn't help but worry that the other alphas would see me differently just because I was human. I still needed to plan our family dinner for tonight.

"Emilia?" Elijah called my name, pulling me from my thoughts as we cuddled together on the couch.

"What? Yes?" I asked, turning to him immediately noticing how worried he looked, "I'm fine, I'm just thinking about tomorrow and tonight."

"You'll be fine, I dare any of them to say anything about your claim to this pack." He paused, pulling me close before kissing my on the top of my head, "You are an excellent Luna, being bitten doesn't change who you are Emilia."

I sighed, fighting back the tears but it was too late, my hormones got the better of me as the waterworks started and I was a mess.

"Oh, babe, don't cry."

"I can't help it!" I exclaimed then sniffed, grabbing the box of tissues off of the coffee table, "It's the baby!"

Then I blowed my nose, as Elijah rubbed my back, an attempt I knew was to comfort me. I was grateful for his kindness, but I also couldn't stop the worry. Would the leaders of the surrounding packs accept me and our child, or will we be met with hostility and disrespect?

"Hey, we're going to be fine alright? Why don't we take a nice long bath and then we can start working on dinner together? How does that sound?"

I sniffed, wiping my tear stained face before nodding, "Okay."

Getting up from my spot on the couch, I followed Elijah into the bathroom, watching as he quietly turned on the faucet, filling the bath with sweetly smelling salts and soap. Peeling my clothes off, Elijah, like the absolute gentleman he was, helped me in the tub. By now my crying fit was over and all I could think about was how good this water felt.

"Do I have to shave my legs?" I asked, looking over at Elijah who was reaching for the shampoo.

"Not if you don't want to." He said casually.

"The hair is annoying me but I don't want to shave." I wined.

Elijah shook his head before grabbing my light blue razor, "Here, I'll do it." Then he was holding my calve gently in his hand, lathering the soap up and down my leg before expertly moving the razor down my leg.

"You're supposed to shave up." I said, noticing his confusion when the razor wouldn't do it's job.

"Oh." He replied sheepishly before quickly switching positions and moved it up the length of my leg, leaving the skin smooth after each swipe.

"You don't really have to do that but I appreciate it." I paused, "Thank you."

"I don't mind, and besides, it's the least I can do for the mother of my child," he replied with a smile before getting back to work, "and you're welcome."

I closed my eyes again, trying to relax. We had yet to find out the gender of the baby, but I couldn't help but feel like she was a girl. Not to mention the dreams I had been having, only confirming my suspicions, not that I was too upset about it. I would be okay regardless of the gender, I just wanted the baby to be happy and healthy.

After I was clean, Elijah hopped into the shower and I got dressed wearing a comfy pair of sweats and a large t-shirt, knowing that I would wear something nice this evening and didn't want to worry about ruining my clothes while we cooked. Making my way into the kitchen, I quickly got to work, I wanted to make steaks, baked potato, and it wouldn't be complete without corn on the cob. My stomach growled just at the thought of it. Grabbing a pot, I waited for Elijah to arrive. I wanted to grill the steaks myself but Elijah had insisted.

And just as I was about to grab the bushel of asparagus from the fridge someone knocked on the door. "Who can that be?" I mumbled to myself, setting the asparagus down only to be shocked as Elijah came running out, his eyes glowing. He seemed on edge, and it was then that the packs bond twisted as our members pain seethed through me, "Emilia, get downstairs, now!"

"What's happening?"

"Rouges." He said before he hugged me, "Now go!"

Then he was gone. Only, I wasn't alone. Immediately, Caspian came running in, his clothes completely covered in blood, "Caspian, what are you—"

I didn't get to finish my sentence before my vision went black, a sharp pain shot through my neck as something shot through my veins. I couldn't fight back, wondering what Caspian was doing, and what would happen to me next.
