I awoke the next morning feeling entirely well rested. The sun streaming in from the window, warming my skin and it took me a few seconds to realize where I was. That was, of course, when I stretched immediately seeing the ring graced delicately on my left ring finger, the tiny diamonds simple and beautiful against my skin. Looking over, I expected to see Elijah still sleeping but his side of the bed was empty, touching the sheets I realized it was still warm.

Crawling out of bed, I made my way to the balcony, not caring that I was dressed in only Elijah's t-shirt, but with my frame, it acted more like a dress than anything else. Staring out to see, I watched the waves crash onto the sand the sound relaxing me even further. That was, until arms wrapped themselves around me from behind and Elijah's familiar smell clung to my nose.

"Good morning." He said, brushing my hair off my neck to kiss the soft skin beneath it.

I couldn't help but sigh, melting against his touch.

"Good morning." I breathed, my voice barely above a whisper but I knew he could hear me, "I love my ring."

"I knew you would." He replied, "Would you like some breakfast?"

"Of course." I said, my stomach grumbling as I turned around to face him, "But I'd like to get dressed first."

The grin on his face seemed absolutely mischievous, "What about breakfast in bed?"

I couldn't stop the playfulness as I winked, "I thought we already had that."

The sharp inhale and shaky breath that followed made my heart soar as I moved past him and followed my nose towards a cart full of food. Every breakfast food imagined lay waiting for me and I couldn't wait to eat it.

"You're a tease." Elijah shot back as I grabbed a plate full of waffles and sat at the breakfast nook before I began eating.

I laughed, looking up from my plate and blew him a kiss, "So are you." Then I turned my attention back to my food before engulfing it all as if I hadn't eaten in days.

He chuckled, grabbing his plate and taking his seat beside me.

The room was silent while we ate, a comfortable silence between us as the sound of the ocean consumed the room. It was absolutely perfect here and I didn't think I would ever want to leave.

After breakfast Elijah and I got dressed for the day, him in his swim trunks and a light weight shirt and me in my cute maternity dress I found at a thrift shop.

"Wow, you look great." Elijah said before winking, "I'm surprised you're wearing a dress."

"Oh, hush! It's hot outside."

"I know what can help with that." The look on his face said it all, he wasn't done with me yet and I had the sinking feeling he was serious about having sex on the beach.

"You're insatiable you know that?"

"I can't help it when I have a gorgeous Luna to keep me company." He said kissing me on the forehead.

I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mind having another session, but that can wait till later. We had plenty of time for that.

"Later," I found myself saying, "Maybe I'll be in a more wild mood." I said with a wink, "And besides, we have to find our secluded beach."

"Really? You want to?" He asked, excitement clearly in his tone.

I nodded, "I mean, it wouldn't hurt to try and in any case, if we get sand everywhere we can just take a shower."

"Together?" He asked and I grinned then shrugged.

"It's definitely a possibility."

That did it, he was grabbing my hand, pulling me gently out of our suite and straight towards the stretch of sandy beaches. The sound of the water getting louder by the second and I couldn't hold back my giddy excitement as my feet dug into the hot sand beneath us. The water seemed inviting and I couldn't wait to dip my toes in. Still holding Elijah's hand, we made our way to the edge of the water, the wet sand sinking in between our toes.

"I love it here." I finally said, looking over at Elijah, who wasn't looking out to sea, he was looking straight at me, "What?"

"Nothing." He replied with a smile, "I'm just glad you're here with me."

I couldn't help but smile back, "Me too." Then I let go of his hand and ran into the water as it crashed against my thighs.

"Hey! Where are you going!" Elijah called as I heard him run after me.

I looked behind me, relishing the push and pull of the water all around me only, Elijah wasn't there. Then, all of a sudden, I was picked up bridal style and I squealed looking at whoever dared to disturb me.

"Elijah! What are you doing?"

I'm holding you captive." He said with a wink.

I rolled my eyes, "What am I supposed to say now?"

"You don't have to say anything." He replied and I let myself relax in his arms, relishing how safe I felt with him and how I wanted every day to be just like this one.

"Hey Eli?"

"Hmm." He hummed.

"When the kids are born, do you think we could make this a yearly thing?"

He chuckled, "I don't see why not." Then he added, "We could probably get a house here and do a yearly vacation. The family could all come down unless you want it just us."

"Everyone can come." I said with a smile, "That sounds wonderful."

He was silent for a minute as he held me, the sound of the waves filling the pause in our conversation. I couldn't help but think of how far I had come, how far we both had come. To think less than a year ago I was a human in a doomed marriage and now a luna, in love with her soulmate and expecting twins. Even after everything that had happened I wouldn't change a thing. I was a better person because of it, I was strong, capable, and found my purpose in life. I would be a mother, not only to my children, but to my pack. Because I was the Luna of the greatest pack in all of the Midwest. And I wouldn't change it for the world.
