y/n pov:
I was laying on Flo's chest, half asleep. her phone screen was pretty bright, so it kept me awake. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that she was messaging someone. My eyes focused on the name, it read 'Connor'. My brothers name? I slowly sat up and Flo flicked her slides up almost instantly. "hi darling" she said kissing my forehead. I looked at the clock next to me. "it's 1:24 why are you still up?" I asked. "oh I was just on tiktok, you know how you can get sucked into it" she said. but she was messaging someone?

"oh okay" I said. maybe I was just too tired, and hallucinating. I layed down on my pillow and Flo put her phone down and layed down on her pillow, facing me. "goodnight" she said, moving a piece of my bed head from my face. "night" I said smiling, then I drifted off to sleep almost instantly.

The next morning I sat up and reached beside me, to feel empty sheets. I huffed, wanting Flo with me right now, but I just put a top from my cupboard on over my crop top I wore to bed, along with matching shorts. I walked downstairs after unplugging my phone. I was about to walk into the kitchen, but I could hear Flo on the phone. I stood in the doorway, and she had her back towards me sat on a stool on the kitchen island. "when will you be here?" she asked to the mystery person on the other end of the call. "well I can meet you at 4 then?" she suggested to this person. she waited for a response then said "sounds good, you haven't told y/n your coming have you?" she asked. what? who is she on the phone with? "okay good, i'll see you later then" she paused. "bye" then she put the phone down.

she spun around on the stool. she jumped a little when she saw me. "hey babe" she said walking up to me. "who were you on the phone to?" I asked. "oh no one interesting" she said. "mhm ok" I said, not seeming so sure. "and are you sure you were on tiktok last night, because i'm sure I saw you texting someone" I asked. "what's this? an interrogation?" she asked giggling as I walked over to a stool. "the contact name said Connor" I said, her face fell a little. "babe, what's wrong? have I done something?" she asked. "except from messaging and calling my brother, i'd say you've done nothing" I said as she walked over to me.

"babe, i'm not messaging or calling your brother" she said hugging me but I didn't hug her back. I just got up and said "i'm going to get ready" I said not even looking at her.

the rest of the day I didn't really talk to Flo. I walked downstairs at 3:50pm to see Flo getting her shoes on. "i'll be back in a couple of hours" she said. "okay, have fun meeting up with my brother" I said, walking into the living room. "I love you" she said, opening the front door. "okay" I said putting the tv on, then the front door shut.

I sat watching youtube for 2 hours. Then I heard Flo's car pull up. But she didn't come in. it became half an hour and she still hadn't come in. if she's going to be like that she can fuck off. 45 minutes later I got a message on my phone. I opened it and it was Flo, 'come outside ❤️' I got up and opened the front door to see at least 200 roses set up, and lights spelling out "will you marry me?" she asked, on one knee. My eyes watered up, I looked at the ring and it was my mothers ring. I started tearing up. "that's why I was talking to your brother" she said.

"yes" I said and she stood up and gave me a kiss, "i'm sorry" I said, then kissed her again. she put the ring on my finger. "I love you" I said. "okay" she said copying me. I rolled my eyes jokingly. "I love you too" she said, then kissed me again.
