a/n in this Florence isn't famous:)

y/n pov:
I arrived at the restaurant where I was having a date with my girlfriend. "hi a table for two please" I said as I walked in, and the kind lady at the desk showed me to a table and I ordered a lemonade, as i'm driving. I was waiting a while, I thought it was just me, but I checked the time and it had already been 20 minutes.

she's probably just late. "hi madame are you ready to order?" the lady from the desk came up to me giving me a look of sympathy. "oh no i'm okay, my date is just late" I smiled and she smiled back, walking away. 20 minutes turned into half an hour and half an hour turned into an hour. I picked up my phone and messaged her again. I called, no answer. this is getting embarrassing.

"hey babe sorry i'm late, I got stuck at work" I heard a voice and I looked up from my phone, a beautiful stranger sat on the chair opposite me. "what?" I asked confused why she has sat down with me and called me babe? I mean i'm not complaining- no stop you have a girlfriend. "whoever stood you up is a dick, you seem awesome" she said in a low tone.

she ended up staying with me to eat. Her name is Florence, she's perusing a singing career! "how about I give you a ride home? for staying with me" I said as we had just finished our desserts. "i'd like that" she smiled. as she said that I got a ping on my phone. I opened it to see it was my girlfriend. wow I forgot about her.

seems she forgot about me too, and went and cheated on me. "what's wrong y/n?" Flo asked me putting her spoon in her bowl. "it's y/e/n (your ex's name) they've cheated on me" I said in a low sad tone. "oh, you don't need that bitch anyway gorgeous" she smiled at me, which made me feel a lot better. after we payed we walked over to my car and got buckled in. I put the radio, Flo told me where she lived and I started driving. "yes I love this song!" Flo said as the song 'Heads Will Roll' started playing. "me too!" I agreed and we sang our hearts out all the way to her house.

it was beginning to get dark, it must have been at least 10pm. I parked up outside her house and walked her to her door. "thank you Flo, what you did in the restaurant was really sweet" I thanked her. "no need to thank me, I had a great time" she said opening her door. "hey, um it's getting pretty late, and I know we just met but do you want to spend the night here?" she started. "I know you live at least 20 minutes from here, and I have a spear bedroom you can use" she explained. "are you sure?" I asked checking.

"of course, come on in" she said and I smiled, then walked in. we spent the rest of the night eating popcorn, watching movies, then we fell asleep on the couch together.
