really quick fun fact
the reason the Blackwoods have continued to live in Mary's Field , a rinky dink middle of nowhere type town in because it's where the company started (in the 1870s). The company's official headqaurters is now in Richmond, Virginia which is a two hour drive from there. In the 1930s, the family was going to go live in Richmond but figured it just be easier to stay in Mary's Field given how the whole great depression thing was going on and they didn't want to endanger all there money by moving into the city and the family has just continued living there.
