6- Seals and lots of ranting

Izumi's POV:

Now that Sasuke's born. This means that the Nine Tails Attack will be here soon, I haven't given Kushina the seal yet but I now got the opportunity to give her the seal because I was invited by Itachi to have dinner with his family. They wanted to thank me for saving Mikoto, so I accepted besides I can't decline a request from the main branch, I didn't know that Minato and Kushina were attending too.

I didn't really dress up, just wore a light purple shirt with a lavender skirt that fades into a darker purple along with a black jacket and white shinobi sandals, I had my hair in a ponytail. I usually wore skirts due to my past life, I never really wore any pants and was most comfortable in skirts. It was the same for the academy but I ended up wearing shorts underneath to school which I didn't mind. It was necessary but that didn't mean it didn't feel weird. But I was quite intrigued. Pretty sure Fugaku doesn't like half blood Uchihas since Uchihas marries another Uchiha to keep the bloodline pure but I'm a half blood. I highly doubt he wants to just thank me for saving Mikoto but it is possible. If he didn't express his thanks, the others might think he's not grateful after all, no one apart from his family knows he thanked me in the hospital.

I soon got to Itachi's compound and knocked on the door. Mikoto slid the door open and ushered me in. Kushina was watching Itachi take care of Sasuke, probably picking up some tips on taking care of babies. Minato was with Fugaku discussing something and Mikoto was in the kitchen preparing dinner so I decided to lend her a hand but after raising the moon. I tugged on her dress to get her attention then held up my board. "Can I help?" Figured that I might as well help, they're the ones treating me to dinner anyway. "That's not needed, go play with Itachi." Yeah, no. "He's busy caring for Sasuke and you're cooking for 6 and a baby, let me help." I think I saw Mikoto's smile slightly falter but I waved it off.

"Alright then. i appreciate it." Mikoto said then I looked at what she was making. "Sushi?" She nodded then handed me some vegetables to cut which I did quickly. I made some eggs for the sushi and soon dinner was ready. I looked around for a bit to see there were some ingredients that can be used to make some milk tea that I missed from my past life, too bad that there wasn't any boba but it'll do. Mikoto noticed that I was making something and asked, "Are you making something?" I nodded, "Milk tea." Mikoto raised an eyebrow, "Milk tea? What is that?" I put down the beaker, "You'll see." In the process, I started making some herbal tea for Kushina.

Later on, dinner was served, I sat down across from Fugaku and Mikoto while Itachi sat next to me. I scooted away as unnoticeably as I could. I had absolutely no plans to sit next to Itachi, I should've sat next to Mikoto or at the end of the table. After all, I don't know if I could prevent the massacre. Izumi dies to either Itachi or Obito in canon. "What is this?" Itachi asked while I was sipping on my tea, focusing on the drink while trying to ignore Itachi's gaze and scribbled, "I think you'll like it, it's sweet." Itachi took a sip and without realizing it, he literally inhaled it. He pouted in frustration, "I want more now..." I got up to pour in more in his cup and he inhaled it all again. I ate my sushi while Kushina who apparently didn't like tea, actually liked my herbal tea. Everyone liked my tea and asked for the recipe. Using this as an opportunity to get close to Kushina, I managed to give her the Longitivity seal while giving her the recipe and put a genjutsu over it which was risky since there are 2 sharingan users in the room but luckily they didn't notice since Fugaku was busy talking to Minato and Mikoto was cleaning up the table.

By the time we finished eating, it was already dark. I was about to leave when Mikoto stopped me, "Why don't you stay here for the night? It's quite late right now." Then Kushina said, "Don't worry about it Mikoto, we can bring her home on the way back." I nodded in agreement. Mikoto's smile faltered again then nodded, "Alright then." She's acting weird....
