45: Time skips are boring

2 years later....

Izumi's POV:

Nothing big happened until I decided to scope out on Orochimaru's hideouts and to find where Sasuke is. After all, I changed so much of the story that Orochimaru might've turned Sasuke into an experiment instead of nurturing him to become a proper vessel. Or he could be doing both so that Sasuke's body wouldn't be a normal human body anymore but possibly a super human if I were to consider connecting his kidnapping case with Orochimaru being the one behind it. Although, this was just an excuse, I just wanted to see how Sasuke is doing. Pein had finally ran out of missions to give out so this was a rare opportunity.

It took me 3 days to thoroughly comb through the hideouts that I found in the past and Sasuke wasn't in any of them. So there are more hideouts. I should've had a bird tail him, now I'll have to search blindly.... Or I could try that. I went into a nearby cave while putting a genjutsu over the entrance as my eyes turned green with a crystal heart as the pupil. My nature bracelet started to glow and hum. I started giving my presence off and the cave started to glow and was covered with flowers and moss. It grew over the walls, ceiling and ground. Mass mind control over all the animals that were in the area were controlled to find Orochimaru's other hideouts. Find his hideouts and report back to me. A handy ability that I learned during my free time but there's an incredibly long cooldown for it which depends how long I use the ability for. If I used it for an hour then I can't use it for a year. 2 hours would mean a 2 year cooldown and so on. There are ways to avoid it such as if you have a stronger will than the caster or if you have something that can repel the caster's mind.

Anyways, it took a little over an hour to find Sasuke whom was training alone. He didn't look bad, there was no irregular motions or looks. Although, he was wearing his hebi clothes at this time. He actually looks like a stripper. I was about to leave when I made the rookie mistake of stepping on a branch. Or rather author just sneakily shoved a random branch onto the trunk I was standing on.

Sasuke whirled towards my direction as his eyes landed on me, "An Akatsuki member?" But his eyes widened like saucers when he saw my face, "Izumi?" Why author? God dammit. I turned my heel and started jumping away. "Wait!" Sasuke yelled as he started jumping after me. While jumping from tree to tree, I heard some trees rustling before it stopped. I turned my head a bit while still be mindful of the front to see Shisui, Itachi and Hayate hot on my tail with Sasuke following. Of course. I should've known that Minato would've sent some people to look after Sasuke since he's literally still a genin or rather a chunin that has no experience with infiltration. I started speeding up, jumping from tree to tree while they did too. I formed a few hand signs then turned around midair. Lightning style: Birds of Zulu. I opened my mouth and shot out lightning bullets that formed into birds and shot the birds to the group. They countered the birds with a fireball jutsu, creating a explosion. So I used this opportunity to teleport away.

That was really annoying. I breathed in a huge sigh of relief, big mistake. I started coughing blood at the feeling of my lungs stinging. I quickly brought my hand up to not make a mess on the forest grounds while leaning on a nearby tree. It didn't take long for my coughing session to stop which made me softly gasp for air. Tch. I can't take in deep breathes anymore? I underestimated this illness. I wiped off the blood with my handkerchief and popped in a pill to suppress the symptoms. I'll probably need to make a bigger dose of them if my breathing is starting to be like this. Once this time skip is over, breathing would probably start to hurt. During Pein Arc, the simple task of breathing might take some effort to do so. Then during the war, I'll probably be moving by sheer willpower at that point. I can't just suppress the symptoms so I might as well create a cure for it and just make sure I die to Kaguya or something.
