20- Hyuga Affair

Izumi's POV:

The Chunin Exams ended without a winner because everyone forgot about my match with Itachi but can't blame them, a pickup line battle was so entertaining. Who would've thought that Yone and Ukai initially hated each other's guts before it somehow turned into having a romantic relationship with each other? Then they build some weird quirky habit to having a mini insult battle before doing a pickup line battle every time they meet when their summoners summon them. They always had curse battles before they got together and when they got together, they would have pickup line battles. Then had the bright idea to combine both together for fun.

Anyways, when the exams ended, everyone finally remembered my fight with Itachi. However it was too late to continue the match and the kages decided to end the exams much to the audience's disappointment. Fugaku was annoyed (and managed looked constipated at the same time) but he couldn't help but be amazed to know Itachi had a crow summoning, let alone had the ability to summon a huge one since it takes a lot of chakra to do so. He was the same with me although he would never admit it which is understandable. He has a huge hypothetical stick up his ass anyway. Although he was amused by the pickup line battle and like Minato, he was listening intently for lines to use on his wife. My parents (more specifically my father) had long noses for at least a whole week, bragging about my abilities to their friends.

Itachi and I became chunin like I expected. We were the only ones who became chunin and one of the youngest so that was quite the accomplishment.

1 year later...

I'm now 8 and currently patrolling the village. The Hyuga Affair is about to occur since Sasuke is now 3. Hinata got kidnapped when she was 3 and her birthday is in December. However I didn't know the specific date since it was only stated that she was kidnapped when she was 3 at night. A Kumo diplomat was sent to die in order to obtain the secrets of the Byakugan. In canon, it went on as planned. The diplomat was killed on the spot and the clan tried to get Kumo to compensate for the attempt of kidnapping the Hyuga heiress but they didn't have any evidence.

So Kumo threatened that they would start a war with the Leaf if they didn't present the body of Hyuga Hiashi before them. In order to protect the main branch of the clan, Hyuga Hizashi was sent in his twin's stead to protect him which resulted with Neji's hatred towards the main branch and Hiruzen had Kumo sign a peace treaty. A wise move by the old man to save the village from war but none of that crap would've happened if he had anbu stationed around the village to protect the people instead of having just 2 chunin to guard the front gate of the village who dozes off for more than half the time of their shift. It's always been a question about how Konoha was still the strongest village during Hiruzen's reign if he doesn't even know how to even guard the village properly... oh right, Danzo.

Perhaps he did do something useful.... Actually no, the clan leaders would've probably banded together to overthrow Hiruzen legally if Danzo didn't exist since Hiruzen's soft heartedness would probably lead the village to its downfall. The reason why it didn't is because Danzo kept the village from being seen as weak. If the clan leaders did overthrow Hiruzen, they would've probably replaced the council as well, in other words, Danzo still did nothing useful apart from being hungry for power and needs to go experience the thousand years of death jutsu... or was it pain? I don't know. But to do that, bribing Kakashi with Icha-Icha Paradise books should do it, I don't want to dirty my hands by touching a vermin like Danzo. Speaking of Icha-Icha Paradise, what are those books? I've never read the context of it and knowing Jiraiya is a certified pervert who is even really proud of calling himself a pervert, I'm assuming they're porn books. Or maybe a tiny chance that it's a human anatomy book? 'Just accept the fact that your favorite sanin's bestselling books are a series of porn.' Dammit.
