19- Chunin Exams: Part 3

Third Person's POV:

Everyone was leaning in with anticipation, knowing who will be fighting in the final exam. After all, they're both young prodigies and considered geniuses of the Uchiha clan along with Shisui. All 3 graduated from the academy years before the proper graduation age, oldest one out of them had already become a jounin while the younger 2 were here in the arena, about to battle for the rank of chunin. Leo stepped up after he took a short coffee break which is why he said the finals would begin in a few minutes.

"The finals shall begin now! Uchiha Itachi vs Uchiha Izumi!" Leo announced while the crowd went silent. Both Uchihas went to the arena, avoiding each other's eye contact. Both Uchihas got into their stances while equipping themselves with kunais. "Begin!" Both Uchihas narrowed their eyes and activated their sharingan while they dashed at each other, having a fast taijutsu battle. Izumi caught Itachi's fist that was thrown to her stomach and whirled around to kick the boy in the face who quickly leaned back to dodge it. He jumped back while Izumi weaved a few hand signs. Everyone's eyes, including Itachi's widened in shock.

"This is-!"

"A fire dragon?"

No one has ever seen a jutsu that involves the full body of a fire dragon so everyone was shocked.

Izumi's POV:

Hm, seems like it's lacking a bit. The temperature wasn't where I want it to be. Itachi quickly jumped away from the fire dragon while he whirled a fire dragon flame jutsu at me which I countered with the water barrier jutsu which resulted with lots of steam coming from it. It made me lose sight of Itachi so I had to focus on my other senses while I suppressed my chakra. Itachi did the same since I couldn't sense him. I closed my eyes, calmed my breathing and kept my focus on my surroundings. Something that I was taught to do when training to obtain sage mode. There! I turned around to block Itachi's kunai with my own with a loud cling sound resounding the arena and that little yellow spark when blades clash. Ahhh... forgot anime effects exist. 'Still remember that one time Itachi's fangirl was doing Sakura's dance.' Yuck, don't bring that up.

(If you don't know, there's that one scene in Naruto where Sakura has stars in her eyes, twirling around in a pink background and making hearts at Sasuke or something, she still had long hair at the time. I don't remember which episode but it's cringe worthy)

'Lol' I quickly kicked Itachi in the stomach since I was getting pushed back by Itachi's raw strength. I don't intend to use chakra infused fists and kicks because I don't want to accidently injure Itachi too much besides, it's guaranteed that we'll become chunins, possibly jounins. I don't want to injure him too much for something that's already confirmed. I'll just go on even grounds against him. 'And by that, you mean slightly overdoing it?' Wasn't planning to but do you want me to? 'Show off all your skills excluding Pokémon moves while holding back a bit?' You're asking me to put a bigger target on my back. 'Girl, I live for the chaos, you know that.'  Then an image of Mew putting on red lipstick, puckering them while flipping their facial purple hair and batting their abnormally long eyelashes appeared in my mind. Mew can send images whenever they want me to look at something.

My eyes widened at the sight of their appearance that I lost my footing and due to stupid human reflexes, I grabbed onto the closest thing to me in order to keep balance and that thing was Uchiha Itachi himself.
