18- Chunin Exams: Part 2

Izumi's POV:

"The first match will be Honnohiri Uesato v.s. Uchiha Itachi!" At least I'm not first. The crowd cheered and was really excited to see Itachi in action. Itachi stood up while I patted his shoulder. A way of any sort of encouragement from me. He nodded and walked down to the arena. Well then, let's see what this Uesato will do.

Third Person's POV:

Uesato was down there waiting for Itachi. "Looks like I get to fight the famous Uchiha. It's an honor." She said while arming herself with multiple kunais. Itachi merely nodded while looking dead into the girl's eyes. Leo looked at both fighters before shouting, "Begin!" Uesato leapt at Itachi immediately who activated his sharingan, still looking at Uesato in the eyes and merely jumped out of her range while weaving some hand signs. "Fire style: Fireball jutsu!" A huge fireball was spewed out of his mouth and went straight at Uesato who quickly jumped of the way while weaving her own hand signs. "Water style: Water Bullets!" Water in forms of bullets were launched after Itachi who threw 4 kunais at the bullets, each had a exploding talisman attached.

The kunais and bullets collided, and created an explosion. It covered a small area of the arena but it also covered Itachi and Uesato in the smoke. Uesato looked around frantically and heard a footstep. She whirled to the direction and threw a kunai at it which was a mistake. She saw red eyes and blacked out. The smoke cleared up with Uesato on the ground with Itachi looking up to the proctor, perfectly unharmed. No one except for the experienced ninjas knew what happened. "The winner is Uchiha Itachi!" The crowd cheered as the medical team scurried over to Uesato and took her away while Itachi walked back to his seat.

Third Person's POV:

Fugaku looked at him, "That's my boy." Mikoto smiled, "Nicely done Itachi." Sasuke was watching the battle as well and clapped in applause for his older brother's performance.

Izumi's POV:

'Itachi could've easily ended the fight the moment the girl looked at him in the eyes.' True but it would too short of a fight, it would humiliate the girl and the crowd would probably be dissatisfied since Itachi wouldn't have to lift a finger. Itachi knows that since he always thinks ahead and he's a gentle and kind person so this was expected. 'I suppose, he's too kind.'

Itachi came over and sat down beside me. I clapped my hands silently to let him know I'm congratulating him. "Thanks." I nodded and turned back to the arena. The fights went on until it was finally my turn which was the last fight before semi-finals. "Last match before the semi-finals, Inuzuka Hana vs Uchiha Izumi!" That's my que. "Good luck." Itachi said as I passed him, I gave him a nod and proceeded to the arena.

I've done a little check on everyone's training by having birds follow them so I had an idea of Hana's strategies and what's in her arsenal. To put it short, she's like Kiba but stronger. She has 3 dogs and they're all stronger than Akamaru and she mainly worked on her taijutsu and medical ninjutsu so I'll have to be careful. I've identified her level on taijutsu and it's around mid jounin level. In other words, close combat is practically suicide, not only that it's a 4v1. 'This is a piece of cake, you took on an army of 100 shinobis that are at least chunin level at the age of 4.' True but I spammed double team so they wouldn't even be able to touch me. I can't use any Pokémon moves here.

I got to my side of the arena and so did Hana. I looked at her in the eyes but she focused her eyes somewhere else on my body. Seems like she knows about the sharingan's abilities. Leo at both of us while we got into our stances. She was ready to run at me while I was armed with 8 kunais and was ready to literally run away. "Begin!" As expected Hana ran right for me while I activated my sharingan. I threw my 8 kunais at her while she smirked and dodged them all, "I was expecting more from you." You'll be in for a surprise. She ran over to punch me while her dog also came along to bite me, as soon as they made contact, I turned into a horde of nightingales. Her eyes widened while I reformed further back. This time I had shurikens at the ready. She whirled around, "Fang over fang!"
