61- Mew's time to shine

Third Person's POV:

Minato quickly righted himself on his chair with his hands folded in front of him on his desk, and with a semi-steady tone, he asked, "What?" Mew simply repeated what they said even though they were quite sure Izumi had sent a message. Perhaps she teleported it to the wrong place by accident or author decided to be a bastard not that it would matters now. It was dead silent for a few moments when Minato quickly called in his anbu guards while Shikaku and Hiashi turned to leave. They didn't need the hokage's orders to know what to do. Hiashi quickly left for the Hyuga compound to have all Hyugas on stand by in an orderly fashion for the incoming invasion. Shikaku had went straight to the Yamanaka compound, planning to use their mind jutsus to inform everyone of the attack. Minato was relaying orders to the anbu and turned to Mew. "Shirogane, I'd like you to escort the civilians to safety. Preferably behind the Hokage Mountain." There was nothing at behind the Hokage mountain which makes it a good hiding spot. It's an unexpected spot since it's not only in plain sight but also defenseless.

Mew nodded and teleported away. At that moment, all civilians in Mew's sight stopped moving and their expressions quickly contorted to fear. They immediately flocked towards Mew upon receiving instructions of where to evacuate to. Then Mew summoned flocks of eagles, hummingbirds, seagulls, owls, e.t.c to have them fly the civilians to the back of the Hokage Mountain. They also summoned a few smaller birds to have them scout around the village perimeter to be on the lookout for the Akatsuki.

By the time the Akatsuki arrived, about 70% of the civilians have been evacuated. Mew quickly instructed a jounin to take over her job upon sensing Pein entering the village and immediately started running towards Pein. Minato immediately had all chunins and genins guard the civilians, knowing that they'd be useless in such a high scale battle. All anbu and jounin were on stand by, ready for the invasion. Like canon, Naruto wasn't here yet even so, he wasn't needed. There were many powerhouses in Konoha right now aside from Minato and Mew so Mew wasn't concerned. They were only concerned about killing off the Akatsuki excluding Pein. Tobi needs his eyes for the war. It'd be harder for him to retrieve them if Pein was to get killed here since he can't move his real body and taking the others' IQs into account, there's no doubt that they'll find Nagato. Once they do, they'll definitely either take the Rinnegan or destroy it. Knowing Minato's way of thinking, it's likely that he will order the eyes to be destroyed simply because the eyes are just too dangerous.

Mew narrowed their eyes at the sight of Pein levitating in the air as they got closer.

Mew's POV:

As I watched Pein going higher and higher I knew I wasn't going to make it with the pace I was going even if I summoned a bird. Hiraishin wouldn't work either since Izumi never managed to mark Pein with it. Izumi had managed to befriend Pein but the only physical interaction they had was through their fingers brushing on each other by accident when Izumi handed paperwork to him. Problem is, the Hiraishin mark never fades and at the time, Izumi could only mark it on Pein's fingers which will definitely get discovered by him. Which leaves 2 options. Use teleport or Izumi's newly invented form of transportation through lightning release. I went for the latter. Gathering chakra at the soles of my feet and controlling it to cover my feet, I slowly went faster and took off, leaving a flash of lightning behind me.

I jumped up towards Pein with my hand curled up into a fist at the ready to punch him into the ground. Pein had his arms reached out into the sky, "Almigh-" I proceeded to punch him in the face as his eyes widened and sent him plummeting to the ground. In that short sequence, I managed to mark him with the Hirashin mark so that's neat. Looking down, I felt my eyes become literal eye saucers. I swear, I was as pale as paper because I seem to have punch Pein a bit too hard and created a crater with a "few" buildings and houses destroyed. By that I mean at least 10 buildings had collapsed due to the impact but that's what I could see from where I am. There's probably more.
