"Any question from now on ?" I asked the sisters as I finished my tour of the school. "No." Chara simply responded, thanks. "Can we eat with you at lunch ? Since we're new here, and you don't seem too mean." Frisk said, if she knew... No, Y/N that is the past. "Frisk, don't bother him, we'll eat together, alone." Chara intervened, thanks again. "I don't want to be rude, but I don't want to ruin your sister idea, Frisk, have a good lunch." I said as I made my way into the classroom to pick up my bag.
Okay so what's the meal today ? Noodles who wasn't cooked nearly enough, with a sauce who's been here for 3 days, and for the dessert, a simple apple, yeah. Classic. As I ate my crappy lunch, I saw Chara and Frisk sat on a table near me, well on the same table, but at the opposite of me, I appreciate the fact that they don't come over. I heard them talk about monsters and all that, I didn't really listen as I don't want to listen a conversation that I'm not in, feels creepy.
After one or two minutes, I saw a group of 3 males students slowly approaching their side of the table, and knowing them, it won't be a friendly chat. "Hey cutie, wanna grab something after school ?" Dude 1, or Jake said. "Hey, sorry, me and my sister already planned something." Frisk kindly turned them off. "Oh come on, don't you wanna have fun ?" Dude 2, or Andrew said. "Didn't you hear her, she said no." Chara said with a menacing look on her face. "We're not talking to you, fucking red-eyed demon, get out of here." Dude 3, or Thomas said. What he said clearly touched Chara, since she just went wide-eyed and didn't do anything.
"Hey, jackasses." I said, gripping Jake's shoulder. "Leave them alone." I 'kindly' said, as my hand was tightening on Jake's shoulder. "Or what, Y/N ?" He said, with his two goons slowly approached me. "I don't think you understood." I said, putting my hand oh his throat. "That wasn't a suggestion." I said, gripping his throat harder. "O-Okay, let me go please." Jake pleaded, so I let him and his goons go. "Don't come near them again." I warned them one last time.
"Thanks Y/N, but you shouldn't be violent." Frisk thanked me. "Sorry if I was too violent for you, but these guys only know how to say 'no' when you are stronger than them." I said. "T-Thanks Y/N." Chara said, timidly. "You are most welcome." I responded. And I made my way to my previous place. "Wait-" I heard Frisk said before I took my things and I put myself next to Chara. "Sorry to put myself here, I just don't want you to be assaulted once again." I said. I hate dudes trying to do that. "Thanks, welp, it seems like you accepted my offer." Frisk said, laughing a little. I couldn't help to laugh too. "Ahah, yeah, seems so, at least nobody will come near you now." I said. "Why is that ?" Frisk asked. "Let's just say that, people know me, and not only positively." I sighed, I don't want them to know that, so I'll keep it quiet. "Oh, okay, then let's eat, once again." Frisk said, which I agreed, but Chara wasn't in a good mood, after all that fucker Thomas did said something fucked. "Oh, I forgot sauce, I'll be right back." Frisk said, getting up. I just nodded and she walked past me and Chara.
"Hey, Y/N." Chara's voice cut me off my train of thoughts. "Yeah, that's me." I responded. "Why did you came and defended us ? We're just classmate, even strangers." Chara said. "You're right, I didn't need to help the both of you, it's because I wanted to help, I hate guys like these." I told her. "What was the reason ? To do your goods of the day ?" Chara asked, does she distrust humanity ? That's the vibe I get. "Not particularly no, I told you, it's because I wanted too, you don't deserve that treatment." I truthfully said. "Help Frisk okay ? Don't help me." She said, was she ... was she sad ? "And why will I do that ?" I said, getting a little frustrated. "You heard them, don't you see my eyes ? I'm a demon." She said, wow, Chara must not had the best life out there. "Bullshit." I just said. "Excuse me ?" She said, a little shocked. "I don't know you, or your past and actions. But what I see is a human. Yes with red eyes, but you're human nonetheless. You're you." I said, surprising myself while I comforted that girl I barely know. "And if I might add, your eyes are beautiful, don't let the vicious words of others get into your brain." I finished, I might overdid it because now, she was blushing. As Frisk came back, her blush disappeared. "So, what did you talked about ?" Frisk asked, Chara was blushing once more, just a little. "Oh, we just talked about everything and nothing." I said, which wasn't a lie. "Hmmm." Frisk was ... suspicious. "You should know something about me, girls. I never lie." I said, which Frisk smiled to, and Chara just blushed a little more.
"Isn't it chill out here ?" I asked the sisters. "Yeah, how do you know the spot ?" Chara asked. "Well, it's my fourth year here, so I know the little spot." I smiled a little, knowing that spot will be to their liking. "Wait, did you say 'fourth year' ?" Frisk asked, oh yeah. "I repeated my first year here, wasn't the best student, still isn't, but I'm working on that." I explained. "Oh, so you're like me." Chara added. "Oh, did you repeated your first year of High School too ?" I asked. "No, I repeated one year of middle school for ... personal reasons." She said, but she did pause in her sentence, which confirm my thought of earlier. "Welp, I hope that everything is okay for you." I smiled at her, which she gladly returned. "Yes, it's better now." She finished.
"Hey Y/N !" A voice shouted my name, interrupting our chilling session. Chara and Frisk looked at me to know if this voice was bad news. "Don't worry, I know this voice, he's good." I said to them as I get off the bench and walked towards my friend. "Hey David, what's up ?" I asked, handshaking him. "You know, the usual, I knew you were there." David said, laughing. "It's my favorite spot, you do know that." I said to him, laughing a little. "Oh, who are they ?" David pointed at the sisters who was sitting on the bench too. "Come, I'll introduce you." I said, David was following me.
"David, this is Chara." I pointed to Chara, obviously. "And this is Frisk." And I pointed to Frisk, obviously. "Girls, this is David, my long-time friend." I said, Frisk and Chara tilted their head to say hello, as David did too. "So, what's the news ?3 David asked. "Welp, we are the new students of the school, and we are in the same class as Y/N." Frisk answered his question. "Oh nice, then you should be safe ahah." David laughed a little. I just slapped my face. "Why is that ?" Chara asked. "I already told you, I'm known here, and not for the best reasons." I responded. "And what's the reasons ?" Frisk asked. "He just hate seeing people get bullied or all that shit." David said. "David, stop." I asked him nicely. "Okay, if they're your friends, I figured they might need to know at least that." He explained. "That's explains this moment at lunch." Frisk figured. "Wait, what ?" David said. "To basically resume the situation, Jake and his goons of shit-eaters just assaulted them, when I was near them." I explained the scene. "Ooh, I see, welp, I know that you are in good hands girls." David reassured them. "We saw it, and once again, thanks Y/N." Frisk thanked me. "Yeah, thanks a lot for that." Chara thanked me as well. "It's my pleasure, now let's go to class, don't want to be late on your first day no ?" I said, which made them laugh a little.

"Finally, day's over." I said, stretching a little at the exit of the school. "Couldn't be more right." Chara said. "Hey Y/N, where do you live ?" Frisk added. "Frisk ! You can't ask that like that." Chara yelled a little, which I laughed a little to. "Don't worry, I live at 7 minutes with walking speed from here." I said. "Oh cool, it took us 9 minutes to walk from our home to here." Frisk added. "That's great, welp time to get off. See ya tomorrow !" I said to them while I begun to walk home, and I noticed they were right behind me. "Excuse me ? Are you following me ?" I asked, faking a annoyed tone "Oh, no no, our house is just there too. Sorry if we made you uncomfortable." Chara shyly explained. "I'm kidding Chara, if you live next to my house, we could walk together if you want." I asked. "We would like that, thanks." Chara said, to which I just nodded.

"Welp, my house it in this street, where are yours if I can ask ?" I asked. "Oh, that's the other road, seems like we're saying goodbyes here." Frisk said. "Welp, if you want to do this again, let's say tomorrow at 7:30, we meet here ?" I asked. "That's would be great." Frisk agreed, Chara nodded. "Welp, see you tomorrow, for real this time." I said. "Ahah, yes, see you tomorrow Y/N !" Frisk yelled as she rushed back home as for Chara, she just stood there. "Hey Y/N. C-Can I have y-your number ?" Chara asked out of the blue, which caught me off guard, and I felt my cheeks being a little hotter than usual. "Sure, it would be my pleasure." I said as I told her my number, once we exchanged our numbers, she just ran away to where Frisk was running too.

That day was special, first I protected those sisters, then I comforted Chara, and then I exchanged numbers with her, it feels weird ... but in a good sense. The only friend I made was David, and having 2 more friends can be really good. Wait, since when am I being social ? And, I won't lie, Chara is gorgeous. Did I really thought that ?
