Chapter 57

I woke up normally, I instantly took my phone to read the time. It was 10:20. I looked at Chara and I saw her looking at the ceiling. "You do have a good ceiling." I said, laughing a little. She snapped her eyes on me, and laughed a little too. "Ahah, you had a good sleep ?" She asked. I hummed and kissed her check. "It was good, and you Red ?" I asked back, she smiled and snuggled into me. "It was great." She just said, I nodded as we were stuck in that cuddling position, which wasn't bad at all.

"You know N/N, before you entered my life, I always got nightmares about my past life and the genocide." She suddenly said. What she told me stunned me a little. "Each night I've been woken up at least one time because of that. But then I met you." She continued, I listened closely as she was telling a difficult time of her past. "And it changed, soon enough, the nightmares wore off slowly, there was nights where I didn't dreamt about those." I nodded. "And when we confessed to each other, they disappeared completely. It was thanks to you." She finished, kissing me, it was short, but I felt each ounce of her love and care for me. "I can't thank you enough for being my boyfriend." She said, I could feel my body becoming wet, I looked down to see her cry. "Chara, I'm happy that I could help you overcome those things." I started. "And I won't stop to help you. I would be a terrible boyfriend after all." I continued, she laughed a little. "But you don't need to do something special to thank me, you've helped me a lot since that all Ancient Power started. I stayed sane thanks to you." I finished, patting her head. She looked at me, and she soon stopped crying. "Seems like we really help unconsciously." She said, I smiled at her. "Yeah, seems so." I said, standing up a little.

"So that's the plan ?" David said, I nodded. I told them the plan I thought about. "You are sure it'll work ?" Sans asked. "Yeah, Jake is strong, cunning, and overall, a complete bastard without empathy. I've dealt with those type of guys before. Even more Jake, he tends to overestimate himself." I explained, David nodded as he knew the specimen too. "Let's hope it'll work." Sans said, I laughed a little. "Sans, it'll work, even more if you could teach me that trick." I said, Sans raised his inexistent eyebrow. Then he snapped, and smiled. "It costs a lot of magic, are you sure you want to learn that ?" He asked, I nodded. "Didn't you tell us that my magic is special ?" I said, he laughed and then leaned his hand forward. "Well then, time to get a breather." He said, I smiled and I took his hand. Soon enough, I felt like I was floating and moving really fast, I didn't close my eyes, so I could see blinding colors around me, it was moving so fast. Good thing I didn't have motion sickness. 

During that teleportation, I managed to take all those information and absorbed them all. Giving me the ability to teleport too. 

Once we arrived at the spot Sans teleported us, I saw the forest, but I was high up. I looked around and I saw a entrance to a cavern. "That leads to the Underground." Sans calmly said. I looked at him, and he could see clearly the question I've had in mind. "It's a special location to all of us, it was the end of our imprisonment. The first time I saw all of that, I was in awe, I couldn't believe that it was true." Sans started, I nodded. "But when Frisk RESET, I was once again underneath that beauty, and then I learned something, I learned to give up. I knew that it will become a circle. And so did it became special anymore ? Not at all. It was just the end of the route." He continued, they all had a rough time didn't they ? "But one time, Frisk decided to kill everyone, at first I was angry at them, even more when they killed my brother, Papyrus. But then, I've asked myself a very fucked-up question : why was I angry ?" He continued, first Chara and then Sans, I was happy that they opened up to me, but the subjects weren't wholesome.

"After all, it'll all start over again, but at the end, I fought Frisk, and by extension, Chara. Each time I killed them, I could feel Frisk becoming stronger and darker. I kept up with her, until she ultimately killed me. But then, I was back in that sentry post a Snowdin. Once I saw Frisk, I saw something new, regret. She regretted doing all of that to us. So she told me that she will never RESET again. She did her beautiful route, freeing everyone, even those who were killed." He stopped a little. "And then you came in our lives, and it changed everything, it became once again meaningful. And I understood one thing, that you were the reason why." He stopped, as he turned to look at me. "David is the reason why Frisk is happy. But it was you who introduced him to us. It's thanks to you that Chara isn't the old human who hated her race and hated herself. So, Y/N, thank you, you truly brought something good to our lives." Sans said, and I could see his smile, it wasn't the smile he usually wore everyday, his smile was genuine, and it only reinforced my will to protect them all.

"Sans, you don't need to thank me. Thank destiny for that." I only said, bringing him for a hug. He seemed stunned, but accepted it. "Heh, I'm thanking the both of you." He said. Seeing Chara and Sans like that, hearing them opening up to me only made my determination grow even bigger. My will to protect them, to cause all of that to an end, to finally live our lives normally. It grew up to a point where it couldn't be ignored anymore. Sans ended the hug and looked at my eyes, and he seemed stunned. "I think you should see yourself." He said, I was curious as why he said that, so I took out my phone and opened the picture app. And then I saw it, my eyes, who were normally E/C, became a bright and shimmering golden color. It wasn't the filter of that Spiral taking on me, it was like a real color. I smiled as I only knew what it could mean. 

"Seems like my soul and the program is becoming one."
