I woke up with a vibration, seemed like a phone got a notification, I slowly looked at mine, and it was my phone, I forgot to put it on silence mod. The notification was because Chara sent me a message ? I looked around and I saw Chara wasn't there, I sent a message, asking where was she. I waited a little and I saw her responding, she answered 'not here anymore.' I was a little worried and I asked if I could call her. In the next second, 'Red <3' was calling me, I responded and I only heard cries. "Chara !" I yelled, soon after I heard a laugh, but it was not at the phone, it was next to me. I looked at my door and I saw someone, completely black, that person rushed at me and just stabbed me in my heart.
"Holy-" I said, waking up, I saw Chara next to me, I put my hands on my torso, not feeling anything. Fucking hell, that was a nightmare, weird. It surely felt like a nightmare, compared to my 'sickness' before, where I could feel what I saw. I didn't feel the stab, so it was alright, just a random nightmare. "Y/N ?" I heard Chara's tired voice. "Sorry, didn't mean to wake you." I said, patting her head. She groaned and she put her back on the wall. "What happened ?" She asked, looking at me. "Nothing, just had a nightmare." I said, sighing. Her look was worried. I could know why. "And no, don't worry, it was a human nightmare. Not one provoked by the programs in there." I said, pointing at my head. She suddenly took my face and hugged me, problem was, my head was between her boobs, good thing she wore a t-shirt. "It was just a nightmare." She said, rocking me side by side. It felt ... good. I was spoiled by Chara, it was pleasant. She ended the 'hug' as I breathed. "Please tell me when you'll do that again." I said, feeling my cheeks blushing a little, good thing my room was in the dark. "Why ?" She asked. "Because I couldn't breath with ... your boobs." I said, scratching the back of my head. "O-Oh, right, sorry." She said, I could feel embarrassment in her voice. "I didn't say that I didn't like it, quite the opposite." I said, I could feel her eyes looking at me. "It was smothering." I admitted. "Oh, it's a good thing, because it'll happen again." She said, getting up from the bed. I smiled as I took my phone to look at the time, 11:51.

"So, what do you want to do today N/N ?" Chara said, we were chilling in my room. I yawned a little since I was bored. "Don't know, maybe hang out with Frisk and David ?" I said, being not sure of myself when I didn't even knew what I wanted to do. "Didn't felt like a real proposition." Chara said, laughing a little. "I don't know what I want to do to be honest." I said, leaning in my desk chair. Suddenly, a red flash was saw in my peripherical vision. I looked at Chara and she summoned a red knife, she smiled and she launched the red knife at me, instinctively, I summoned my gauntlet and I focused on absorbing it, the moment her knife was in touch with my palm, it was phasing in my gauntlet, being absorbed. Determination Knife, used by the Determination wielders to fight rapidly. Extremely dangerous if used correctly. "Chara ! What the hell ?!" I yelled, since if I didn't react fast enough, the knife was in my body. "Huh ?" She 'said', looking at me surprised. "Don't 'huh' me." I said looking at her in the eyes. "You did absorbed it." Chara said, like she didn't care. "What if I wasn't fast enough ?" I said, being angry at her. "I know you, you are too fast for your own good." Chara said, approaching me. I despawned my gauntlet as I sighed. "At least, tell me when you're gonna do that." I said, standing up. She hugged me, even if it was not really cool from her, I hugged her back. "Sorry, I just wanted to make sure." She said. "What do you mean ?" I asked, since I didn't have a single idea. "We only saw you absorbing monster magic, so I wanted to make sure that you could absorb human magic too." She explained, I thought of that as well. "But still, you could've told me." I said. "I know, I'm sorry, it's just ... I was worried. Because if you couldn't absorb human magic, what will happen if humans wanted to hurt you with magic ?" She said. I sighed as her intentions were good. "Don't worry, I can defend myself." I said, rocking her a little. "It does feel smothering." She said. "Good thing that I'll do that in the future." I said. And then, an idea came in my head. "How about I call Frisk and David, asking them to come and spare ?" I said, being a little excited by my idea. "That's actually great. But ... Remember what we did ?" Chara said sadly. I sighed as I understood greatly. "I forgave you for that, it's the past." I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. "And besides, that will be even better if there's actually a fight." I said, smiling. She smiled too, grabbing my hand and put it on her cheek.

"So, are you ready ?" Sans asked, he came here to train me on my magical consumption. I wanted to spare, but Sans and Frisk told me that even if I can fight, if I can't sustain my magic, it'll be useless. "Yeah." I said, nodding. I looked at David, he wanted to train with me, from what he said, his whip used magic when he strikes with, so he needed to work on that as well. "Okay, so basically, you use too much magic for the same result as you could do with minimal magic." He said, summoning a ... skull ? "That's a Gaster Blaster, my most powerful single attack. I suggest that I fire it at you and you absorb it Y/N. You'll know why." Sans said, I just nodded as I summoned my gauntlet. "Good." Sans said, as he made his blaster fire at me. I successfully absorbed the beam, giving me information. Gaster Blaster, made by only a handful of skeleton monsters. Two types of beams. One : the blaster uses ambient magic, not dealing huge amount of damage, but can be used repetitively. Two : uses the user's soul magic, making the beam dangerous, can't be repetitively. I looked at Sans and smiled. "So that's why I was tired when I used magic." I said, making him smile. I looked over Frisk and Chara, only to see them smiling at us. "Exactly." Sans just said. "What are you talking about ?" David asked. "Okay, so, each time we used magic, we used our soul magic, making us tired." I said, starting my explanation. "Sans used his blaster by collecting magic in the air, thus using little to no amount of magic of his soul." I finished. "You're clever, N/N." I heard Chara said. I smiled a little. "Without that data-base in my head, I would never have find it." I said. "You're already smart without it, it's just for additional space." Frisk said, she was kinda right. "If you say so." I said, not wanting to talk about that. It still feels like I'm just a weapon. "Now, try to use ambient magic you two. Feel the magic surrounding you. Focus to the spot where you want that magic being absorbed." Sans said, we nodded as we focused. I could feel the magic around my hand gathering, now I just needed to use it to spawn something. Since it was my first time using that technique, I figured that I needed to spawn something small. So when I knew what I wanted to spawn, I snapped my finger, making the magic go into my hand, I smiled when I felt the object I created.
"Interesting, that was fast for a first time." I heard Frisk said. "Even more interesting when you chose my weapon." Chara cooed. I looked at the knife and it was not red, but golden. "It's your magic, even if it was the ambient magic that you used, your soul acted like a gateway for magic to be used." Sans explained. "Oh, I see." I said as I played with the knife, it was light, smooth, and I didn't felt tired one bit. I looked at David to see him starting to create some spikes on his whip. The creation was slow, but it was steady. Looks like he figured it. After a while, he opened his eyes to look at his whip, and he smiled. "Hell yeah !" He yelled, being happy with his result. "You two are really good with magic." Sans said, happy with our feats. "Thanks !" David and I said to Sans. "Why spikes ?" Frisk asked David, he turned around to look at his girlfriend. "I couldn't thought of anything else, and to be honest, spikes can come handy in a fight." He said, his point was good. "It looks good bro." I said, looking at his green spikes. "Your knife is sick too." He said, looking at the golden knife. "I just got the template by Chara earlier." I said, Chara smiled at me.

I wasn't tired because of the magic training earlier, I was just tired because my body wanted to sleep. We were in the bed with Chara, we talked about magic, classes, and the Underground, she said that the Underground wasn't opened for normal humans, only for Frisk and Chara. "Since you're my boyfriend, I can see if you can come with me one day, I'll be your guide." She said, yawning. "Yeah, sounds good." I said, yawning too. She decided to snuggle to me, as she did, she let out some happy noises. "I'm happy to call you my boyfriend you know ?" She said, her voice was tired and muffled, like yesterday. "I'm happy that you're my girlfriend too." I said, putting my hand on her back. I felt myself sleep. "Goodnight Red. Love you." I said as I made myself comfortable. "Night N/N, I love you too." She said, relaxing into my warmth.
Now that I know how to use ambient magic, I can focus on improving my magic.
